It was so busy on Valentine's day and service was slow. Waited so long to be seated and couldn't order anything apart from appetizer. Some customers actually left because the food was taking too long. I only order salad to avoid the long wait. I know this was a special occasion so it was bound to happened. Otherwise I love going there.
No salt or pepper or candle on table.
No bread served.
No dessert offered.
Will never return. The manager gave us a $100 certificate which is moot as we will never return. Will give the certificate to a friend (perhaps to an enemy).
Sad what has happened to the Summit...
Waited over an hour for steaks to arrive, my well done ribeye was medium rare and my wife’s prime rib was cold, sent both back, almost every table in there was complaining about the food, paying $50 for a steak that would be better spent at another restaurant
Valentines day night meal very good, butr so busy, service is slow.
We made reservations for Valentine’s Day. I think the kitchen was backed up because the full menu was available and not as many people ordered off the special menu as they anticipated. From start to finish we were there for just over 2 hours. Which was a long time. Luckily, we were in no rush. We did hear the table next to us get a manager and have their meal comp’ed because of the excessive wait time.
As far as the good goes, we started with the roasted Brie and charcuterie that came along with it. It was delicious. The salads were standard steakhouse fare.
For the main course, I ordered what amounted to be the bets prime rib I’ve ever had. My wife had the filet mignon and lobster tail. Also very delicious and perfectly cooked. Overall a nice Valentine’s Day experience, for us, at least.
We love this place. The bar is a great place to meet and hangout with friends, and their happy hour is unbeatable. Not to mention the great food they have. Our favorite is the french onion soup and now the poutine. Also, a great place for a truly romantic dinner. This place has it all.
This was a great steak dinner. The mashed potatoes were a bit bland. Cocktails were great as well. Kevin our waiter was amazing!
Too expensive for the quality of dining. Wait staff was nice and efficient. But like I said the price did not match the quality . Will not go back..
Salvage Steakhouse is a gem in Aurora. The food is fresh and innovative. The service is attentive, and our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We will definitely be back.
My server Kevin, I have nothing but nice things to say about. I loved his attitude, demeanor, he was very professional yet fun. He made my dining experience enjoyable the environment of the restaurant is cozy and nice for a date night out if you're in the Aurora area and want to go somewhere close. I recommend reserving a table for the more private and quiet area.
We loved our meal at Salvage! The food is excellent and they have a good selection of both steak and seafood. The service is also excellent: attentive and understated.
Just need to upgrade the interior ... maybe fix some seats ...but our waiter was fantastic and so was the food..can’t wait to go again
There were only two other tables in the area where we were seated for our anniversary dinner, and the server took FOREVER to check on us each time and to drop the check. She also failed to acknowledge our anniversary or ask us any questions about our order (i.e., what size steak or what kind of vodka for my martini). She was not at all personable. My husband's $45 steak was very fatty. And when the restaurant couldn't figure out how to run the MasterCard gift card we had, they called and accused us of stiffing them. All in all, I would not recommend this place to anyone.
We had an excellent experience and enjoyed the elegant ambiance and exemplary service. Everything about our meal was delicious and Salvage is now our new favorite restaurant.
We went to the Salvage for new years eve dinner and were pleasantly surprised to see it was not the same old Aurora Summit. The new owners are more in touch with what people are looking for in fine dinning in Denver. This restaurant was clean, smelled good and the lighting was well designed for dinning, not overly lit, but good enough to read the menu and see what you are eating. I had the prime rib, I eat prime rib 5 to 8 times a year, this was the best prime rib I have had at a restaurant in Denver in a long time and it was cooked the way I ordered it. The salad and the baked potato were excellent also, fresh jest like you make them at home. The wife had cheddar burger, (that's what she wanted for new years eve dinner), it was not on the menu for this evening, but when the new owner came by to ask how we were doing, the wife said she wanted a burger and the owner said she would have the cook make one. That does not happen in Denver these days at a classy place like this. I had to try it, this was a great burger made out of some kind of prime aged stake and over stuffed with the best cheddar cheese and grilled onions on top served with stake fries. I can't say enough about the quality of the food or the service. The timing of the service was perfect, nothing came to the table to late or to early. The water for the tea we had was always hot and the plates were cleared when we were finished with them. With the new owner, quality of food and service like this the Salvage is on our list of number one places to eat out.
My wife and I had a wonderful dinner, New Years Eve. The food, service and ambiance was great.
Tried the new/old Salvage at the Summit Steak house for NYE. Food was great and the ambiance was also nice. Very enjoyable evening.
The staff was very wonderful and the food was delicious. It was just what we were looking for as far as a quiet comfortable place we could sit down and have a yummy adult meal while also enjoying conversation with each other and being able to hear each other easily.
Service and food were excellent. Great atmosphere, fine dining in a neighborhood where there is not a lot of upscale restaurants.
We were here for Christmas dinner. The food was excellent, the server was “just right,” the noise level was pleasant. We had a lovely dinner - our only complaint was we were served so much food! It was too much, really, though it was absolutely delicious.
Don't be misled by my occasional 4 stars above, I'm sure this would rise to all 5 on any other day than Christmas. The place was PACKED as there weren't many good restaurants open on xmas day. So they were working very hard. It was just that they were working at absolute full capacity and were on the edge of their ability to do excellent service. Regardless, I gave a more than generous tip as I believed they were trying very hard. Also, it was Christmas so a little extra for the folks who were willing to come and work on that day was appropriate. Our server was a definite 9 out of 10 (Mary). The refresh on drinks was a bit slow but was always accomplished prior to running out of Iced Tea or whatever. Thanks to Salvage for seeing the need for a Quality restaurant opening on Christmas and to a cheerful Mary for taking pretty great care of us regardless of the busy day.
James was our waitperson on Christmas Day and his service was perfect! Great food and company, we will come back again for the holidays. Very enjoyable evening by all who worked that Day. Thank you for being open.
We went there for Christmas dinner. The buffet that they brought on a plate was overcooked and mushy. I can't believe we wasted almost $50 per person going to this restaurant. Definitely not the old Summit Steakhouse.
I appreciate the efficiency of the staff in getting seated and the quickness on serving our food. The helpings were immense and satisfying.
The food was amazing, ambiance was cozy. Definitely will go back.
Went for Thanksgiving dinner and loved it so much we came back for a date night and also for Christmas dinner. The staff is excellent, owners are wonderful and the food has been great. It’s a bit pricey but worth it since there are no other steak houses in the area.
we are regulars at the salvage now called, but have been to the Summit year after year. Hopi is great and always meets our needs
We went to Salvage for Christmas Eve dinner. It was quite nice and festive with old time Christmas carolers. Our meal was very good with good portions.
Our Christmas Eve dinner was outstanding - excellent, professional service by Eric.
Amazing service! Excellent recommendations & everyone was very kind. Our server made the experience very enjoyable- and the food would have done that itself. We loved every bite and every sip! Will be returning for date nights in the future.
