   I was really excited to eat some authentic German food with my partner for his birthday but that’s not at all what we got. It’s like new American meets German but make it GREASY… Fried Camembert should be a crime. That dish is NOT German and is actually genuinely hated by the French. The bacon jam is horribly tough and chewy too (they put it on half the dishes). It’s also just so expensive for no reason. Don’t go here, you’ll find better luck at Bronwyn in Somerville!! Edit: I had decided to bring home the wurst plate (sausage & sauerkraut) to try it out and it was very hearty and actually pretty bomb. Maybe just stick to the simpler menu items if you decide to try this place out !

   Food was absolutely delicious! I enjoyed my pork shank and my BF enjoyed the scrod. Service was just okay considering the restaurant was empty at 4:00pm. Once we got our food we didn’t see her (server) until it was time to pay for the check. Thankfully, another server saw us trying to find her and he took care of what we needed. Overall, we enjoyed the food and decor of the restaurant and will be back!

   We met family at The Student Prince for lunch on a Saturday. We were a party of 7 and the service was fantastic. The decor is interesting. The food was decent.

   Food was delicious and the service was great my only compliment is the table was to close to the kitchen and bar so very busy and loud

   I’ve had better there. Menu is dwindling and little that I wanted to eat. Disappointed that the Valentine’s or game menu was not available when we went. Service was great as usual.

    A bowl of delicious goulash with good bread, and the richest, most flavorful, robust coffee ever, make for a perfect and satisfying lunch on a budget! The food, as always, is outstanding. There are but a few (perhaps petty) reasons for not giving 5 stars across the board: 1. The bread rolls were really good, though serving them warm would make a very big and impressionable difference. There’s something comforting about butter melting into warm bread, so cold bread rolls are disappointing. It’s all about attention to detail. 2. The service was very good — but not exceptional. There was some waiting to get past that accounts for 4, not 5 stars. The Student Prince Prince offers unparalleled, authentic old world charm that is thankfully lovingly preserved. What a wonderful New England landmark! Thank you! Looking forward to another visit.
