First time visiting the Strand. Really impressed with the food. Delicate appetizers, excellent chicken and scallops for main courses. And very good malbec wine by the glass.

2nd course is very small (mushroom lasagne) and more like an appetizer. Our waitress was spectacular and when I complained, she remedied the situation without complaint by offering us a complimentary second portion. We were there on a weeknight and it was quiet; on a weekend it might be more active/louder with the bar being adjacent. We thought the bar would be fun though!

We are fortunate enough to live local to this place. This was our second time here and it was a great night. Fantastic food and ambiance. Can't wait to try it for Sunday Brunch. The guy behind the bar was fabulous. Glad to know we have our new hang out spot.

Very pleasant surprise...we were staying at hotel where restaurant is located & decided to go to Strand for dinner! We enjoyed our dining experience so much that we plan to return again. The menu was creative and beautifully prepared...service was attentive & everything was beautifully plated..a real find

Brunch buffet is terrible and not worth the money at all. No omelette station, no smoked salmon, no really anything... very poor selection. The a la carte breakfast menu also offers very, very limited options.

This place is fantastic! The prices are honest & humble. The specialty cocktails are fresh and vibrant and celebrate a great start to a meal.
Dig into the wines list, great glasses but the bottle list is priced to order 2! Haha (we did... at lunch but we are on vacation). The lunch menu is great, fresh and leaves you feeling just right. We are going for dinner later in our stay.
#TheyHaveTonsOfRoseBottles! By the way get the stracciatella or the Lamb burger!!!

My expectation was that The Strand would be a good, fresh-food-forward restaurant within a hotel. Instead it was really a hotel restaurant within a hotel, with okay food and very small portions (which of course is healthier, but there is a disconnect between portion and price—right down to the amount of wine allotted to a by-the-glass pour. Everything was good enough, but nothing was better than good. And the prices are simply out of whack — $29 for a small half (quarter?) chicken, $35 for three scallops, $17 for a bowl of chowder, $28 for a vegetarian “paella” with garbanzos filling in for seafood. Etc. If the food was stupendous, Fine, but this was not. In terms of atmosphere, our friends commented that the feel of the place was 1950s coffee house or restaurant, which was apt —and it fits with the architecture but nothing except the light fixtures helps warm it up.

I loved the restaurant. The decor was pretty and the staff was kind and knowledgeable. I had the poached egg with lobster for appetizer and my friend had the roasted squash salad. Both were absolutely delicious. Then we shared the short rib agnolotti as our mid course and it was to die for. I wish I had ordered that just for myself! Our main course was also really good. I had the scallops which was were cooked to perfection and my friend loved her cod dish. We weren’t going to do dessert but the chef sent to us the pecan pie and all I can say is you must have it! OMG. Anyways, I loved my experience and will definitely be returning. Finally a place with good food, good ambience, friendly staff and good price :)

James was our server and was both friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Beet mule was very tasty and well made. The polenta dish and scallops were both incredible. Scallops perfectly cooked.

After that we had the bread pudding with bourbon vanilla ice cream and the pear dessert with bleu cheese and spiced pecans, watercress and honey drizzle. Both were big enough to share but small enough for one person if you left a lot of room. Both were awesome but the pear dish is more savory and bread pudding sweeter.

It’s quite brand new and was a little slow but hopefully it catches on. Great spot if you’re local (like us) or if visiting. James brought us a complimentary post dinner dessert wine which was a perfect match with the dessert unfortunately I don’t remember the name.

Nice to welcome a new restaurant with wonderful food. We loved the foie fras and the poached egg with lobster. We also ordered the mushroom lasagna as a first course and it was amazing. Sebastian, our server was very attentive and knowledgable of the menu.
Don’t forget to have the bread pudding and the Panacota!
