We went for breakfast, but they were no longer serving it, even though the website said they were. We went with the flow and ordered burgers. They were ordinary, as was the coffee. The staff didn't seem interested in serving us.

The veal saltimbucca was very good. Chicken Parma was well cooked and presented but way too large. Would have satisfied two people. Maybe a smaller serve as an option

After reviewing the options for lunch in Torquay we went with Stoop as they actually took reservations. Glad we booked, It was an exceptionally busy weekend, Torquay was heaving. Located back from the ocean Stoop wasn’t crowded, food was awesome and service was good. Highly recommend

The food at The Stoop was absolutely delicious. We particularly loved the hummus small plate with roasted vegetables!

Arrived for our 8pm booking and were told that the kitchen was closed. Upon insisting that we had a booking were we received. Service was rushed and drinks were not served after 10pm. Food was excellent.

By far the best ambience and food quality in Torquay. The staff are fabulous, mature and knowledgeable with the right level of intrusion and attentiveness. Always a warm welcome (which is to my mind the most important aspect in hospitality), food quality totally reliable, portions v. commendable and tastiness all round. It's a always pleasure to know that you could order anything or accept a staff recommendation and be thoroughly satisfied. The only danger is that it offers such a cosy ambience that you might just out stay your welcome!
