Drinks were delicious, food was wonderful even took some home! Our Server Ellen was great, very attentive but not over the top! Cheers to all!!
We were celebrating my daughter‘s birthday at a nearby escape the room and chose this restaurant based on the reviews. We were blown away. The food was interesting, tasty and served quickly (important for the eight children who were part of our party ). The staff was very accommodating too last-minute addition of people and an asked to create three birthday desserts. We highly recommend this restaurant.
Great food, awesome food and great outdoor seating.
Overall, the experience was positive. The staff are exceptional. (my apologies for not getting the names) Our party of 5 included a 10 month old baby and initially we requested outside seating (mom was nervous about Covid and this was her first time taking her baby to a public restaurant). The weather turned crappy so mom decided she was okay with the baby inside. The hostess set up a new table inside, did it with a big smile, and was kind enough to take a picture for us on the way out. Our server was exceptional also. He was expedient, very sweet to the baby, and answered any questions we had. The bartender was very nice as well. Excellent service.
Everyone enjoyed the food with the exception of my Skinny Burger roll. It may have been butter or oil from the grill but something gave the roll a strange, plastic-like taste. Also, the handmade chips were cold and a bit stale. Otherwise, the rest of our food was good. Oh and the paper menu could use some tweaking...just my opinion. ;)
The prices are fair, the restaurant is clean, and the outside area is charming. Two thumbs up.
We went last night with a party of 7. It was great. The hand made pasta was excellent, the oysters were fresh, the meatball appetizer was delish and the cocktail menu was awesome.
I highly recommend.
Consistently outstanding! Great suburban menu from pub fare to something for the sophisticated pallet.
The staff was friendly and professional. Loved the food!
This time we had sandwiches. Veggie burger for me and roast beef for hubby. Delicious. An over abundance of chips (house made) and fries. Could do with 1/3 the amount. French pressed coffee came lukewarm but quickly replaced. Noise level is very high plus they had a five piece band starting up. Hopefully weather will cooperate and we can sit outside.
Waitress was awesome-friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious and the watermelon mint martini was sooo good. Definitely combing back-the brunch menu looks delicious.
Absolutely amazing in every aspect. Always a great experience!
A menu that’s varied and wanting us to go back. Salad and grilled chicken was delicious. French Pressed coffee topped off the evening. Fabulous waitstaff. On the noisy side so in good weather you might want to sit in the courtyard.
The food and service was great. We had a wonderful Father’s Day brunch!
First time at The Stones and we were not disappointed. Chill lunch vibe, solid cocktails, great hummus plate, and the burger was spot on. Bonus: we never felt like we were rushed which we totally appreciated. Well done!
Great food, great service. The foods was a little pricey but over all it was a great night. The trivia was very fun too
The food is always good and the service is consistently great. Have also felt warmly welcomed arriving to dine here. Did not feel rushed and always enjoy the cocktails!
The best spicy margarita anywhere! Delicious food and outstanding service!
Myself and my guest ordered the hand rolled potato gnocchi with short rib in a kitchen gravy. It was fantastic. We also enjoyed the agave glows the perfect summer beverage.
Great menu and plenty of options for drinks. We had a couple of apps, entrees, four cocktails and dessert.
Was amazing. Food service ambiance was all perfect!
Fun place with excellent cocktails!
I have been an occasional diner for the past 2 years and I was disappointed in my dining experience on May 26th. This was a birthday celebration for my daughter and the menu was unappealing, and you didn't have the bottled wine I ordered. In the past the menu has always had several tasty options. This time the choices were pasta or a sandwich. I havve recommended The Stones many time, however, unless the menu options improve, sadly I cannot recommend The Stones in the future.
Menu was EXTREMELY LIMITED & noise level unbearable when live music started ....could not have conversation.
Such a great establishment. Food, service, environment is exceptional.
We came for the $1 oysters and those were great. Everything thing else (fried chicken sandwich, gnocchi, and burrata pasta) were mediocre and underwhelming.
Service was friendly and fast, but we felt super rushed. From when we sat down, ordered and ate to when the check arrived before we asked for it was less than 60 minutes.
Food, drinks and service was excellent. Opted for outdoor seating and the converted alleyway was really cute. All of our party of six had only good things to say
I can see why everyone talks about this place. Great local spot, food is great, cocktails are fun, will go back
Pretty good experience overall
There was little ambience. The price of cocktails was in line with Boston prices ($12.50 for a single alcohol martini), and there was nothing special about the drinks. The clam dip appetizer was not good...had whole clams in it and I was expecting they would be chopped up. Our server had to come back to our table 3 different times because she couldn't remember what we ordered. I saw this restaurant on Phantom Gourmet, which is why we went, and it did not come close to what I was expecting based on what was portrayed on PG. We ended up leaving after our drink and appetizer.
Familiar menu and perfectly balanced ambiance
Lilliana was the best server I’ve had in a long time. She went out of her way to make our experience perfect.
We enjoyed our Mother’s day brunch here! From the cocktails to the entrees to the great service’ it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience all around. The only slight complaint might be the noise level but it was Mother’s Day and there were families and children out to eat. And the hostess was aware enough to sit us further away from the noise, which we appreciated! Ty
It just wasn't enjoyable. The bartender was also our waitress. We didn't get an attention. I was expecting it to be special especially for a brunch on mother's day with reservations..
Great food as always. Please keep the steak tartare forever!
Love The Stones!! Consistently excellent food and service
Fantastic food- some really unique items, friendly service. We will be back!
We both enjoyed the lemon hummus flatbread and taziki with olives to start. The halibut was delicious followed by our favorite dessert, the chocolate chip cookie in skillet pan with vanilla ice cream. Agave glows are a favorite. We were politely greeted and promptly seated by hostess. Waitress was friendly courteous attentive and respectful.
Great food and great service
It was trivia night, which meant incredibly loud, tacky music and announcing. They should limit that to inside. We called ahead to find out the entrees for the night, since they only have 2-3 and it isn't a set menu. We went for the steak, they were out of the steak. Couldn't really hear each other despite being outside over the trivia announcements. Our table was also 2 feet at most away from the table next to us, which made us anxious in terms of spacing and no masks.
Fantastic place. This is a gem. Deco is of good taste. Natural wood tone and high ceiling eased my nerve since stepping in. We went for brunch without liquor ordered. Fried chic sandwich is nice seasoned and crispy. Pickled onion is addictive. The French toast in a casserole can not be missed. It is small portion but definitely worth trying. Citrus tone is well kept through out the cake and very moisture inside. Not too sweet but of fragrance. Exactly what a Dessert should be. French press coffee is good too. Very decent price for the quality. Again, a gem in Stoneham to check!
