We come every Friday and always have a great dinner with excellent service.
First time eating dinner here. Grouper was excellent. Potatoes had to be wiped clean from all the rosemary but wound up having no flavor so didn't eat them. Beans slightly undercooked but good. Sausage inside stuffed mushrooms was still pink, salty and hard to chew. Wouldn't eat it. Mushroom itself was fine. Not something I would order again though.
Excellent service by Kelly.
We came here two Friday nights in a row for dinner and the food and service was phenomenal. The building and grounds are beautiful. They were pretty busy today when we went but the waiters and waitresses are still so attentive and friendly. This has been our first positive fine dining experience since COVID. We found our new favorite dinner spot. Thank you and keep up the awesome job!
Never had eaten inside but enjoyed outside over the Summer. The room was very noisy and very small for the amount of tables and people in it. The service was good and the food was good. The waiter gave us a weird look when we asked the price of two specials.
It's a one and done
The only problem was that the restaurant had not received our open table reservation. The restaurant did have seating, but what if they couldn’t.
The service was poor and rude.
The host (a guy) was very rude.
The main meal was better than ok.
One of my favorite of all the restaurants in central NJ
A well-stocked bar, a well-trained staff and well-prepared dishes all make for a great dining experience.
We had a wonderful time and a great meal. Dessert was even out of this world
As usual food and service very good. Becomes very loud as bar area fill up .
Great service, cold chicken parm.
Very enjoyable evening with high quality well-served food. Especially reliable seafood from raw bar.
Always a great time. Food and service are fantastic!
Food was great! The service is professional, prompt and does not hover over your table. Stone Terrace is a family owned business. Many of the staff are long time employees and related. The ST offers a variety of rooms sizes for any type of event.
My husband and I were out of town for business. I looked on Open Table to find a fairly upscale restaurant for dinner not to far from the hotel we were staying. The Stone Terrace by John Henry was listed. We arrived during a stormy night to be greeted by the most charming manager/maitre’ d. We were seated immediately. We could see it was busy with a high energy level. We were served warm bread, garlic olive oil and water right away by two very polite busboys. Then probably one of the most attentive, hospitable, fun, servers we have had in a long time came to our table. Her name is Kelly. She took care of our every dining need and then some. This restaurant has a great variety and we tried several items and all were very good. If in the area try this restaurant you will have a good time.
Always outstanding food and service 👌everything prepared to perfection and staff is five star
Wonderful attentive waiters and great food!
Never disappoints! Service, food, cocktails are top notch. We had all appetizer selections on our most recent visit: seafood tower, spicy calamari, clams casino and 25 steamed clams. Their warm Italian bread is delicious! We love Stone Terrace!
The food is excellent service is good it’s a great place for dinner
Excellent food & service!!!
The food and service were very good. I got the seafood risotto with grilled shrimp and that was excellent. Our server was top notch, very friendly, and very attentive.
Our go-to for delicious food and drinks! Never a bad meal!
I have been here many times. Mostly brought friends and was never disappointed. Made reservation for outside. Was not advised in advance that there was a private party outside and we would have to dine inside. Very noisy. Brought these friends after Raving about the outdoor ambience.
Everything was delicious, and the service was great!
Had a reservation for 2 at 7PM for an anniversary. We were seated at the same time a party of 4 was seated without a reservation. We were seated for 15 minutes without being greeted by a server. The party of 4 without a reservation received drinks an appetizers before we were greeted by our server. I advised the host. 5 minutes later we were greeted by our server. We ordered beverages. We received our drinks 10 minutes later. It was a disappointing experience.
SERVICE WAS EXCELLANT . DISSAPOINTED THEY DID NOT HAVE THEIR EXCELLANT CRAB CAKES DUE TO CRAB SHORTAGE AND PRICE.
When we arrived let be known that there was only one other table and a few people at the bar. Service was terrible, totally ignored by our server. It took him 15 minutes just to take a drink order. We waited 40 minutes to find out they didn't have the appetizer we ordered. We place we celebrated many occasions, is now gone. Our 37th Wedding Anniversary was supposed to a memorable one and it was for bad service and poor food 😢
Always great food, friendly service and great owner
Made reservations and then upon arrival could not seat us at a table. Had to eat at bar. Bought us drink but charged for sides that come w meal so gave us nothing! Food was not bad but our first visit to this place was not so great. Don't think they get another try from us and we dine out often through the month ...
We like good food and good service and this was a 50%...
The food was excellent. All 4 of us enjoyed our meals. Our waiter Ray was very attentive without being intrusive. Ambience was quite nice.
You can always count on a good meal and service at the Stone Terrace!
Great dining experience with awesome food
Meals served very nicely
Wait service excellent
My experience at The Stone Terrace by John Henry was to say the least, disappointing. Having been at the original John Henry's in Chambersburg, we had high expectations of great food and ambiance to enjoy a quality, quiet dining experience while celebrating my wife's birthday.
Upon arrival at The Stone Terrace, we had problems fining the entry door. there were several doors marked "Entrance", but it took us three tri to get the correct one. Once inside, we announced our reservation, we were quickly seated in the bar? This was quite unexpected and rather than cause a fuss, we took our seats.
Well, we had a splendid view of the bar patron's back sides, backs of their heads and the Ladies Room entrance. Yippee. We were also subjected tot he chatter normally found in a tavern rather than a fine dining establishment. The lighting was extremely dim, so much so that we had a difficult time reading the fine print menus handed to us.
Our server, Jenna was the bright spot to our experience at The Stone Terrace. Jenna was attentive, quick to respond to our needs and very professional. Her attitude was warming and welcoming with a friendly smile and presentation. She catered to us with a genuine interest in earing a good tip with out going "over the top". Jenna earned every penny of her tip. If you go, ask for one of her tables. You won't be disappointed.
The food. Again, having been to the actual John Henry's, our expectations for the food were quite high. The Stone Terrace has some work to do to reach that level in my opinion. I had the Crab Cakes, which had more breading than I remember having at John Henry's. As it happened, the market price on crab went up that day and we were warned that the menu price had increased. I wasn't concerned as I had my expectations and felt it would be worth it. I was wrong.
when you put everything into perspective, The Stone Terrace failed to earn our repeat business for any visit any time soon.
Dinner was delicious. I had the Chilean Sea Bass encrusted with pistachios. My husband had pasta with lump crab meat. Both were very good. Our server Rob was fantastic & very attentive. We ate outside it was comfortable & had nice background music.
Food was delicious. Our server Rob was amazing.
Out favorite restaurants. Best food and drinks in town. And Rob is the absolute best waiter!
The food was excellent and the waitress was great!
We were expecting a much nicer dining experience for the price.
Service and food excellent as usual. No outdoor dinning due to weather
