Everything was great. Reservation was ready when we arrived, service was promte, food was delicious
All the reviews are correct. The service here is superb. The food is delicious, however, my husband's Walleye was disappointing. The meat entrees were awesome.
The Saloon was good; nice place to grab a before dinner cocktail. The restaurant is great: great food, great staff, and great desserts.
Since I am on a restricted diet my wife and I shared a full rack of baby-back ribs which was absolutely delicious and we even brought some home. Our waiter was outstanding and even assisted with some group pictures in the bar area. Everyone in the group raved about the service and the food. A very pleasant evening with some dear friends in a very comfortable setting. Thanks for making it a great first experience at The Stockyards.
A comfortable dining experience. Warm and relaxing, unlike so many "modern" noisy, trendy places. Above all, the food was very good and I will be happy to dine here again.
Excellent prime rib, service was great!
Would like to try lunch here!!
Good food, with friendly staff but no real ambiance to speak of.
Known and advertised as a whiskey saloon but served a $20 glass of whiskey in a small glass that appeared to be a juice glass more than a whiskey glass. To make it less appealing although requested on the rocks the glass was filled with chopped ice. Not impressive for a whiskey drinker.
We discovered The Stockyard 2 years ago- and have been dreaming of that prime rib ever since!!! Fabulous!
Fantastic service and fantastic food
We were having a business dinner and we were seated in a room with a family that was celebrating a birthday. There were several small children also in the group. It was very difficult to hear each other speak. Our waitress was great, the food was ok.
Good prime rib. Cool atmosphere.
Quiet enough to visit with everyone at the table Good good too
We were entertaining friends from out of town and I wanted them to have a true Arizona experience (not a run of the mill chain restaurant they could get anywhere). I know of a few options but this one could not have been more perfect for our planning. Not too loud, balanced as not too fancy or casual, private seating, fantastic historical perspective uniquely Arizona, exceptional service and food. All in all just a perfect vehicle for our gathering!
My wife and I were visiting my sister in Tempe. I choose the Stockyard for a "Great Dinner" occasion. The food and drinks were outstanding, the service was outstanding and the evening at the Stockyard could not have been better.
1st Time at the Stockyard. It was our 1st Wedding Anniversary. We had another couple with us. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. Our booth table was wonderful. Large so the 4 of us didn't feel cramped. The atmosphere was beautiful & kind of romantic. The decor was nicely done & I was extremely impressed with the attentiveness of our server. The wait staff including our waitress were polite, friendly & courteous! The meal was delicious & the way the food was placed on our plates was extremely appetizing. The only complaint I could list is that the menu is a little pricey & the size of the glasses when receiving your cocktails could be much larger for the price. And we received a yummy brownie sundae dessert for our anniversary! Compliments of the Stockyard (even had one candle in it for our 1 year anniversary)!
As always this was a wonderful dinner. Excellent food and great service.
Great steaks grilled just the way you like them. Try the steak butter.
Skip the baked potato and try the parmesan potato stack.
Nice wine selection.
If you are fortunate enough to have Panos as your server, you won't be disappointed.
We will definitely return
The Stockyards is a local legend in Phoenix. Fundamentally it's a steakhouse although it has other items on the menu. The steaks are great. Great salads for lunch.
The atmosphere is what you'd expect from an 1889 restaurant and saloon, but all the furnishings are in excellent if not new.
We were seated promptly (reservations are recommended). Servers tend to be 40 or so and are very knowledgeable, experienced and appropriately attentive.
I have been to this restaurant numerous times and go back because it's great place for a meal with friends or businesses associates.
Service was good, waitress was very cordial.
Baked potato was on the small side, but the steak was good. My wife and I split the rib-eye. The part that my wife cut for her self had the majority of fat. However the flavor of the steak was outstanding.
Once again, had an amazing dinner at the Stockyards. Kent, our waiter was most attentive. Our steaks were amazing and the bourbon, sweet potatoes were outstanding. I have never had a bad meal at The Stockyards.
excellent food. A romantic place to take a date. "I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes.
I first went to the restaurant 30 years ago, but hadn't been back in Phoenix in 5 years. Every time I go to Stockyards they do a great job. The Stockyards has great atmosphere of old Arizona. Love the bar and the pictures of the area from years ago. Food was very good and service was excellent. Lots of spring training fans visiting the restaurant.
GREAT FOOD. THE STEAKS WERE AWESOME AND THE PRICE WAS RIGHT.
The food was delicious starting with corn muffins and bisquits salad fresh and steak was mouthwatering! I added a lobster tale that was a good size! We were tempted for desert but were too full. Pictures of the old days were interesting staff very friendly
What a fantastic experience. We were visiting Phoenix from out of state and just thought it sounded like a good place to celebrate an anniversary. We could not have been more right!
From the food, to the service, to the ambience, just an excellent dining experience
The food was excellent, very tasty and cooked the way it was ordered. The service was remarkable as our server was very attentive.
Historic old fashion steak house . Good steak at a decent price.
The steaks were not top tier steak house good but solid nonetheless. It was definitely a good value since sides were included with entree purchase along with soup or salad. The decor is dated but definitely part of the appeal of a western steakhouse.
Had not been in over 30 years and was truly surprised by the good service and good food.
First went to the Stockyards restaurant back in the 60’s with family. Now 50 years later, I finally made it back and it was fantastic, just as I remembered it. No loud music or dance floor, just good old fashioned steaks etc. Seated promptly, waiter was attentive and the food was great. If you enjoy a great steak, you will not be disappointed. We will be back.
Loved Don, our waiter.
The restaurant is very authentic in the 'Old West'. The atmosphere was nice and the waiter provided excellent service. However, the amount of food you get (size) is not worth the high price.
Do not order any of the Bison! Ribeye was soo tough and the meatloaf was mushy!
The Stockyards team makes sure my business meetings shine. The warm welcome, efficient service, delicious food, high energy, etc. provides experiences that cause me to keep coming back.
Good food as usual. Great service.
If you like cowboy history and you like beef, this is the place to go. The Stockyards is a beautiful old restaurant located on property that was formally a stockyard and feed lot for the cattle industry. The interior of the restaurant has lots of cowboy art and western memorabilia. Our server, Kent, was very attentive. He knew the menu well and made some excellent suggestions. The food was properly prepared as requested. Everything we ate had a bit of a Southwest flare making it unique to our Midwest palates. It seems to be popular with Phoenix locals. For the quality of food we enjoyed, the pricing was fair. It was still a steakhouse, but we thought it was a great value for our meal. Highly recommended.
Food and service excellent. Thinking of having a family birthday there.
