Arizona's Original Steakhouse.

Once adjacent to the largest feedlot in the world, the restaurant is a living history museum that documents Arizona's cattle industry with historical photos and a Western Art collection. Established in 1947, The Stockyards has been serving the best hand-cut aged steaks and prime rib for 70 years. The menu also features wild game, seafood, poultry, pork, and a wide variety of appetizers, salads and desserts. Be sure to visit the 1889 Saloon where you will find a solid mahogany hand carved bar, crystal chandeliers, and walls adorned with original murals that were painted in the 50's. I've eaten at steakhouses all across the US- NYC, Texas, Chicago and more and Stockyards is as good as any of them. Steak cooked to perfection, sides perfect and service actually the best I've had. If you're in Phoenix you have to eat at the Stockyards. You won't be disappointed.
We were headed to the Celebrity Yheater and short on time. We ended up getting a great meal with excellent service and would highly recommend the Stockyards! Their steaks are delicious, prepared perfectly and very reasonable in price. Our waiter provided excellent and attentive service while making sure we would get th the theater on time. We even managed to squeeze in a piece of their delicious strawberry cheesecake for dessert! Highly recommended!
The Stockyard can always be counted on for a good steak and great service. It is somewhat informal, but it does not feel 'casual' either. We have been there often enough that when we enter they say "we have your favorite table ready". That's the start of the great service. Needless to say we will be going back - again and again.
My husband has been here for lunch and raved about it which is why we chose to go there for my sons birthday. The highlight of the meal was our waitress. She was attentive and friendly. The rest of the meal was unimpressive. The food was cold to lukewarm and the flavor was ok but nothing great.
I made a reservation and we were seated at the first table when you enter which was the worst table in the restaurant. Then a large party sat right next to us and we were unable to even have a conversation - it was that loud. It had a bar feel rather than an upscale restaurant.
We come fifty miles up the freeway for a great plate of meat. We had three great steak plates, one trout, the sides and two bottles of good wine for a fair price. Our waiter and his staff were professional attentive and spot on for service. This is a well run steak house with the right ambiance.
was disappointed that after making a reservation we were put n the bar for dinner, but have to give mgmt. big props for taking care of us after I mentioned my disappointment. Really went out of their way to make it right. 5 star mgmt., 5 star food, 5 start service - great bar, just not quite "it" for a special evening. If we'd have been in the dining room, all would have been aces. Will definitely go back.
Melt in your mouth steaks,I had the 5oz fillet, hubby had the Bison Ribeye...delicious sides, we both had the spaghetti squash and sauteed mushrooms, yummo!! Oh and the morel butter is to die for! will be trying to copy that for sure! Service was fantastic, our waiter had such charm. We will be going back!
