The Stockyards Restaurant & 1889 Saloon
Step through the copper entry doors and feel the warm authentic atmosphere of this classic American Steakhouse. Once adjacent to the largest feedlot in the world, the restaurant is a living history museum that documents Arizona's cattle industry with historical photos and a Western Art collection. Established in 1947, The Stockyards has been serving the best hand-cut aged steaks and prime rib for 70 years. The menu also features wild game, seafood, poultry, pork, and a wide variety of appetizers, salads and desserts. Be sure to visit the 1889 Saloon where you will find a solid mahogany hand carved bar, crystal chandeliers, and walls adorned with original murals that were painted in the 50's. Step back in time and relax while you enjoy an Arizona landmark. Banquet space and private dining rooms are available, and The Stockyards is always an excellent choice for groups.

Stockyards always delivers an excellent experience. The food is premium, the staff is outstanding and the restaurant itself is a landmark.
Alice, as always, even makes our meal more sensational. From her knowledgeable suggestions and knowledge about the restaurant at her pleasant personality makes our meal 100% plus more enjoyable. We came with friends who have never done that stockyards before and They were wowed by the restaurant and Alice too!
The food and experience was great
First time here and celebrated my birthday.
Sat at bar, service and food were awesome.
Looking forward to going back.
Everything we order was cooked to perfection! The service was outstanding from the moment we were greeted at the front. We will definitely be back.
Great experience on service, food …
Dan our server was full of knowledge, efficient, and humerus. Food is outstanding. Arizona history at it’s best
Restaurant has a very high opinion of themselves. They price and present themselves as a high-end steakhouse yet the steaks/food are the same quality as what you get from Texas Roadhouse and other chains. Prime beef prices for choice… it’s good, but not worth going out of your way to dine
It is very nostalgic going to The Stockyards restaurant; the leather booths, full table settings, historic ambiance and pictures. They always start the meal with veggies, dip, and biscuits and honey butter. The food is always prepared perfectly. Wonderful for date night.
Birthday for my Husband
Food was very good. The service was good.
We love The Stockyards and go more than during Restaurant Week. We have never been disappointed.
Usual experience from The Stockyards. Perfectly cooked steak which means a lot. We did receive more attention from the young lady refilling our water glasses than our waiter. Another table that was seated after us and ordered after us, got our appetizer order. The waiter said, looks like that table got your appetizer, I’ll make sure the next one comes out to your table. That sounds fine but it rushed the salads and main courses after.
The Stockyards are highly rated and recommended place to friends and family for a great steakhouse experience in Phoenix. I also think their scotch portfolio is top notch.
My husband and I ate here for our wedding anniversary, our waiter was fantastic, friendly, and had amazing recommendations - especially for wine! The food was perfect (literally not one complaint about this great place). We’re all the way from Alabama and would revisit in a heartbeat!!!
The restaurant must rest on its laurels because it certainly was not to draw in new customers during this restaurant week! The pricey $55 did not include a glass of house wine though the portions were quite adequate for my prime beef medium rare. The pleasantries of the hostess and servers were minimal. Sadly, I don’t believe this event will draw others to return.
One of the best restaurants I’ve ever visited. Absolute fabulous
Our server was incredible! The food and drinks were great. Loved it!!
Our first time at Stockyards. We celebrated my sons birthday. We were seated at an excellent table away from most of the loud tables. Our server was very attentive and saw to everything we required. EPZ
We went for restaurant week but there is actually an upcharge to use the restaurant weekn menu than to order from the menu. My steak was slightly overcooked.
Excellent food and fantastic server. A very pleasant evening.
The meal as delicious and the staff was exceptional. Will be back.
Waiter, food and service was outstanding as usual!
It was a conflicting experience tonight. Kayla and Kathy took great care of us at the bar, and they were very busy. Alice is one of the best servers in the valley. Remarkable!
The front desk staff, not so good. As they did the last time we dined at the restaurant, they tried to seat us at the least desirable table in the restaurant. It is in the doorway to the back dining room off of the bar. They did, with much reluctance and a lot of evil looks, seat us at a better table.
We enjoy dining at the Stockyard's a lot, but not sure we will be back as frequently in light of the rude front desk team.
Definitely a hidden gem! From the minute you walk in the door you can feel the history of this beautiful restaurant. The amazing photos and history walk down to the beautiful bar should not be missed. From the hostesses to servers to busing staff this place is fabulous. We were a table of 4 and 3 of the 4 did the restaurant week menu which was a great deal. They begin with a chilled veggie boat and homemade corn muffins with a yummy butter. Shrimp cocktail was perfect and delicious. The steaks, prime rib and lobster were some of the best we've had in the valley. Also their parmesan potatoes and really good. Dessert did not disappoint we tried 3 of them ~ creme brulee, chocolate mousse and the sour cream blueberry cheesecake and we all loved all 3! We will definitely be back! Don't let the location keep you away ~ it's a bit of a drive but well worth it!
First time here. It was fantastic. From the food to the service and ambiance. Loved it and highly recommend.
Dawn was our waitress, very good..... everything was hot and correct...
Enjoyed seeing Gary Lasko ..... great co-owner, sorry he left before we
were done..... great food.....
Amazing Seevice and the Steak was absolutely delicious!
Presentation and taste was not to the point of appreciation since I did pay $50 for a steak. This was my first time to a fancier restaurant and I just expected it to blow my mind. I would much rather have Texas Roadhouse than have a steak here again
This place has a very different menu with many hard to get meals. Fish from Great Lakes and Oceans, Wild Elk, and Bison. The wait staff we had was outstanding. Wine list is complete. All and all great but a bit pricey.
The food was amazing! The wait staff were very attentive.
I had the 16oz rib eye rare. If it was prime, it tasted and cut more like choice. More fat and connective tissue than eatable meat. Husband had the special of roast Buffalo. Should of had his favorite…elk medallions. Server was fantastic
The food prep and service was wonderful. Very loud in the main dining area.
Our food was delicious and our service was fantastic. We will definitely return.
Wow! Amazing service and food. Will definitely be going back.
Fabulous food excellent service had a great time on my 73rd birthday.
Never had a bad experience at the stockyard.
Our server John was amazing he knew the menu and was able to answer some questions, and he made a great recommendation for wine too.
The food was great. Our friends had the ribs -- fall off the bone, and delicious. My wife and i had the special, a Bison Ribeye. Excellent. Our server was great, very engaging, knowledgable and made the evening a pleasure. Definitely a gem in the Valley.
Food is phenomenal! The service exceptional. Definitely going every time in Phoenix.
21st anniversary we was seated right by the kitchen with a extremely loud party of at least 10 and too put the cherry on top. I asked for my steak to be cooked medium rare and came very alive bleeding all over my plate it was horrible. The waiter says wow and apologized takes my live animal back to return with a burnt dried out bison ribeye. It was so disappointing, but to be honest my wife liked her NY 12oz. Still went to In-N-Out for a bugger afterwards. Happy 21st Anniversary thanks stockyard..
Great food and great service! I will definitely be back. Highly recommend.
