Once adjacent to the largest feedlot in the world, the restaurant is a living history museum that documents Arizona's cattle industry with historical photos and a Western Art collection. Established in 1947, The Stockyards has been serving the best hand-cut aged steaks and prime rib for 70 years. The menu also features wild game, seafood, poultry, pork, and a wide variety of appetizers, salads and desserts. Be sure to visit the 1889 Saloon where you will find a solid mahogany hand carved bar, crystal chandeliers, and walls adorned with original murals that were painted in the 50's. Really good prime rib, excellent service. The only complaint I have is the noise level. Really loud. Granted, it was Friday night, and it was almost a full house. Perhaps the addition of background music might help..
A wonderful dinner. We were celebrating the memory of one of my best friends who passed away within the last couple of weeks. This was one our favorite places to hang out. My wife and I had an excellent dinner-she started with one of their craft cocktails “That Dang Mule” while I had the perfect Martini. This was followed by an excellent salad and steaks. Ribeye for her and a New York strip for me. Perfect! She actually liked mine better. I had the new Heineken “0” which is excellent while she had some wine. What made the dinner perfect, was our server: Alice. My buddy who passed, loved her to pieces. She’d waited on us several times and we had requested her. We wanted to do dinner at Stockyards in part to tell Alice in person about my friend. She was genuinely touched and solicitous. She said some very kind words about my friend. Stockyards is great and is made even better because of Alice.
Ask for Alice and sit in a booth.
We had a great experience as first timers at The Stockyards! It got a great, old school steakhouse atmosphere and the staff and food were great. We celebrated our son’s both getting new jobs and everything came out perfectly. We will go back!
Reservation table was wrong. Asked for a table @5:30 tried to set us at a booth. We don’t fit. How embarrassing walked back out of the dining room to say go to the saloon. No room there either. Then told I guess you can sit at a four top only until 7:30. That was disappointing. Took the table knowing we would not be having dinner that long. Fortunately our waitress turned our sad faces to happier. It was my birthday and love the restaurant but sure disappointed that our request was ignored.
The food was horrible. So disappointed. Would not recommend going there.

We are long time diners at the Stockyard and are never disappointed. However, last night our waiter was beyond excellent. He delivered a whole new level of superb service. Thank you for engaging such awesome staff.
Celebrated our anniversary. Food was very good, quiet enough you could have a conversation & great service.
A little pricey but better than paying less and having a less than acceptable meal. Would highly recommend & will return again.
Megan was fantastic waitress.. Food was hot, fresh and delicoious.
Filet mignon with lobster tail and baked potato was excellent. It paired great with a glass of the recommended red wine blend.
Business dinner meeting.
The food for the price isn’t worth it. We went for the unique menu and ambiance. The bison green chili was ok and venison sausage links were soaked in balsamic sauce and ofer powered. We tried the filet and ribeye the meat was severely under seasoned. The pecan pie was runny and the pecans weren’t even caramelized they were raw on top of the pie. The potatoes were not anything to rave about. Over priced and just not worth it.
The Rib Eye - OH MY!!!
Really enjoyed our meal. Our fillets were cooked to perfection. Creamed spinach and loaded baked potatoes went with our steak perfectly. For dessert one of my friends had a pecan pie with ice cream on the top and my boyfriend and I shared a crème brûlée which was also excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening will come back and I highly recommend
Service was good. Food was terrible no taste or seasoning. Had porterhouse for $65. And threw it away. Never again.

The Stockyard never fails; great steaks, cocktails, service and authentic “Old Phoenix” charm. Alice, Kent, Tom are all excellent servers and Kayla(?)l in the bar is awesome as well. The prime rib is where it’s at but the elk, ribeye and smoked trout app are all excellent as well. We eat here at least once a week.

It was a great experience! We went to celebrate our 18 year anniversary ❤ staff sure did makes us feel special. We were surprised with desert at the end of the night.
This steakhouse was voted one of the 10 best steakhouses in America and one visit will show you why. Our steaks were done to a tee, flavorful and tender. While the restaurant is pricey, it is well worth the money to experience a super night out.
Stockyards always delivers an excellent experience. The food is premium, the staff is outstanding and the restaurant itself is a landmark.
Alice, as always, even makes our meal more sensational. From her knowledgeable suggestions and knowledge about the restaurant at her pleasant personality makes our meal 100% plus more enjoyable. We came with friends who have never done that stockyards before and They were wowed by the restaurant and Alice too!

Restaurant has a very high opinion of themselves. They price and present themselves as a high-end steakhouse yet the steaks/food are the same quality as what you get from Texas Roadhouse and other chains. Prime beef prices for choice… it’s good, but not worth going out of your way to dine
It is very nostalgic going to The Stockyards restaurant; the leather booths, full table settings, historic ambiance and pictures. They always start the meal with veggies, dip, and biscuits and honey butter. The food is always prepared perfectly. Wonderful for date night.
