   Good vibe. Nice room. Great booths. Nice bar. I did like the pizza but not much else. Hamachi crudo and brocolini were forgettable. Good for happy hour.

   I'm not sure what happened to this place. It used to one of my favorite DTLA restaurants. The menu used to change a lot and the food was top notch. Now there are a couple mediocre pizzas on the menu and some appetizers. The service was just okay. They didn't come around that often so we needed to really flag the server down when we needed anything. Just not what the place used to be.

   Made a reservation on a Tuesday because I'm a weirdo. Place was super easy to find for our Lyft driver, but they did have valet available right in front. Host guy was super cool, chatted us up and gave us our choice of seating. He even was a super good sport with my wife's "can you recommend a drink to me even though you don't know me or my tastes" routine. Craft drink menu is legit, wife had the Nacional and the Tiger Print and liked both. I went basic Jack and coke but they had an awesome pour so no complaints. Also, drinks were reasonably priced for being craft coctails in DTLA so kudos. Food-wise, we started out with the brussel sprouts & broccoli which were amazing. Wife had the burger which she loved. I had the house fennel sausage pizza rosso in the cast iron and it was awesome, perfect amount of cheese and sauce with the crispy bits on the edges and fresh sausage and onions. Maria took great care of us all night, and even chatted with us for awhile about random things our parents use to make us eat when we were younger. Overall, easy 5 stars. Great food, great service and the location was easy. We'll be back.

   Went for a birthday dinner and was very pleased with the location. Everyone had a lot of fun, and the food/drinks were great!

   portions were very small. I ordered a manhattan ...when the bill came I noticed that I was charged 20 dollars for the drink...when I brought it to the server's attention she said they used premium whiskey...which I didn't request...she lowered the price to 14 dollars...still too high!

    When The Stocking Frame first opened, it was absolutely wonderful. The chef created lovely, delicious and imaginative dishes that were just great. I hadn't been back in a while and, when I went last week, I was disappointed to find that it now caters to a sports bar type of clientele and serves mostly burgers, pizzas and basic salads. Our waitress assured us that it was the same chef as always but I found that hard to believe. It went from being a destination restaurant to an "if-stuck-and-there's-nothing-else" restaurant. Very disappointing! And the pastrami tacos were so salty, I couldn't eat them.
