We had a gift card from our daughters so decided to try it out. We ordered 1/2 crab and a large prime rib. We also had a dinner salad. The prime rib was good. The crab was dry and the sauce was too salty. The service was fast, we had barely finished the salad when the entrees came. I get this place if you are from out of town. It is cute, nice ambience and I do love garlic. However, there are so many better restaurants out there for the price!

I have been going to the Stinking Ros for years. I often recommend it to friends and family visiting from out of state. Unfortunately, it has been at least three years since visiting there and I didn't realize how expensive their cuisine is now. It used to be a great value. Pasta in the mid 20s? Around $12 for a cesar salad that was no better than what I make at home. Steak and Seafood was closer to $40 to $60. For that, I could have had a very fine dining experience on the Wharf. I'm sad to say the Stinking Rose is no longer worth the visit. I will no longer recommend it to anyone.

My boyfriend and I went to the stinking rose for our anniversary. The waiter barely came to our table, the table next to us was beyond loud and the people were extremely drunk. The food was okay, but not hot. Overall I was sad that we didn’t have a good experience.

Went here for my birthday dinner with my boyfriend. We arrived 15min early for our reservation. The hostess sat is immediately at our table. The server took a little while before she came and took our order. The wait wasn't too bad. The food came out fairly quick. Everything we had was delicious. I had a braised bonless spare ribs and my boyfriend had the 40 clove garlic chicken. We also got the wild strawberry cheesecake, which was so good and not too rich. Overall I would love to come back.

Gotta love garlic! Decided to try the portabela mushroom over roasted veggies with garlic mashed potatoes-excellent! It was great with a glass of Pinot noir and some roasted asparagus! A favorite place!

I enjoyed the novelty aspect of the restaurant and our extremely accommodating waiter, but nothing we ordered really tasted fresh or made to order. The rolls they brought out tasted like they had been sitting on the counter for the last hour. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs, angel hair pasta that was extremely overbooked and soggy and same goes for the unseasoned crumbly meatballs. I tried to enjoy it but ended up sending it back, and the waiter was very understanding and didn't charge us.

We ordered the steak and asked for it medium rare, and it came out as medium well so it was dry. The crab was very dry as well. I think it was baked. Due to the dryness, when using the crackers the shell splintered a lot so we had to eat shell with our meat. However the mashed potatoes and Spinach were delicious! Drinks were not refilled with out asking a few times.

Our first visit to The Stinking Rose --- great food and service, for our lunch gathering of four. Our server Anita was excellent, and met our every need. Your recommendations were also spot on!! The Garlic Chicken was moist, juicy, and cooked just right. The Spicy Shrimp and pasta was cooked to perfection. The Vegetarian Lasagna was good, but could have used a little more sauce. The clams and black linguine was enjoyed by another member of our party. The tiramisu was shared by all of us for dessert. We would return for another visit.
