My second time to the Stinking Rose and it's even better the second time around. Had a wonderful menu with attentive and focused servers. The Stinking Rose has become a new favorite of ours and we will continue coming back for more.
Staff was friendly and smiling. Saundra was on point with checking in on us and keeping our glasses filled. They stored my daughter's Sweet 16 bday cake an hour before we got there and brought it out after dinner. The mushrooms were bomb and the garlic noodles were good as well
Absolutely great service! The food was so delicious! That was my 2nd time dinning there and both times have been great!!! Love this place!
Went for our 4 year anniversary & it was fun! Different from your “everyday” restaurant & the food was yummy.
Every time we are in Beverly Hills we eat here and we absolutely love it.
Dinner was great the staff was wonderful. It was a perfect place to take my daughter to celebrate her 24th birthday. If garlic is your thing your in the right place.
Wheelchair access would be hard if busy. Went on a Monday and not too busy. Good day to go no wait.
I was on vacation in LA and I am from San Francisco where I have been to the SF restaurant many times and just wanted to compare. We started with the garlic bread and drinks which we enjoyed and I had the Prime rib which was delicious and my friend had the chicken. We enjoyed the restaurant and my friend thought that this location was better than the one at home. Servicer was prompt and courteous. If ever in the LA area we would return.
We love this place. If you love garlic this is the place. Great food, good drinks, great service.
Food was amazing. I recommended the skillet the dishes!!
Food was good, and service was perfect.
$26.50 for a small half chicken is a bit too much - puleeze. Other than that, the food was very good- not the best value though.
We dine here quite often and have always been impressed with the quality of food and the friendliness of the staff. Always a lovely experience...
Thank you.
As soon as we entered, we knew the eclectic ambience suited our tastes. Excellent cocktails and NO CORKAGE fee so pour your own. Large filet “stake” was tasty and tender. Fish - delish! Excellent service and their site even notified me in advance of $7.50 valet charge, fair ‘nuf.
delicious food! A little pricey, for the casual, fun atmosphere. They're prepared for kids (toys and activity sheets to occupy them), but no children's menu.
This restaurant is known for the Garlic-infused cooking so when you walk in, it smells amazing. Although I'm a garlic lover, some of my guests are not heavy into the garlic. They have choices for them too (light on garlic or no garlic) but everything tasted wonderful. They have a jar of garlic pesto so you can always add more if you want.
Themed restaurant has old B&W pictures everywhere - murals on the walls and tented tables are interesting. Service was excellent especially in explaining some of the dishes and its preparation. I would recommend this for any occasion especially for garlic-lovers.
Took a really good friend out
Delightful piano lounge here !
Service was good. Food was ok.
I wanted to celebrate a friend’s birthday and I made specific instructions that our visit would be for a special occasion. However, the hostess nor the server recognized the Birthday occasion at all. This was disappointing and embarrassing for me because I was attempting to make this visit a special one for my friend.
Great place!!!! Amazing food and great service!!!
We were a party of 4 celebrating a birthday. From the time we arrived, seated immediately, ordered drinks the neck bite was very tasty. Someone ordered steak with veggies and mashed potatoes, another ordered steak and the garlic cedar salad, someone ordered the baby back ribs and I ordered the double shrimp and crab every one was get satisfied not to mention those amazing garlic rolls! Some how we found room for dessert I ordered the Carmel salted crunch cake, it was good but not my favorite part of the meal. I would definitely recommend the Stinky Rose and would go again.
I had dinner in the bar area. Love music was a lot of fun and entertaining. Paul my waiter was very attentive and nice. The food was only fair, and a bit over priced, but it's LA, what are you going to do. I had the meatball appetizer: 4 meatballs about half the size of a ping pong ball each, for $15. All in all a good evening for dinner alone in LA.
Lugar agradável e comida deliciosa
We had a great time for my daughters 28th Birthday drinks and the food delicious waiter very nice we enjoyed ourselves.
Great food! We had a great time and lots of garlic.
Food was great, waiter was the best. They gave us good recommendations for what to order and to drink. The only thing I was disappointed at was the hostess. We told her that we were a party of 8 and sat us at a table for 4 without even thinking or looking at the size of our party. When we walked in they were just talking to eachother. I had to get their attention. Front of house needs work
This iconic place is like stepping back in time! The novelty of garlic infused eats of all kinds including ice cream is a fun conversation starter, and an impressive place to take business clients.
The order came wrong but it was corrected, and it was fine. I wish the server would have been more helpful because there was no one in the place to speak of because it was an early lunch meeting.
The food was good, and we even tried that garlic ice cream just for fun!
Top notch! The best service and food. Wonderful atmosphere.
I had wanted to visit the Stinking Rose for a long time, it is something of an institution in Los Angeles and I love garlic. Sadly, the experience was somewhat lacking. The restaurant has a quirky, old school ambiance that I would have enjoyed if there wasn't a raucous, obnoxious large party seated next to us. They were loudly playing music on their cell phones the whole night (who does that in a restaurant!?), which killed any fun mood or ability to have a conversation at normal volumes.
We started with the garlic in oil appetizer. The garlic was fine, but the oil was low quality and didn't taste great. The shrimp dish we ordered tasted like a few shrimp were dumped in a vat of canned fire roasted tomatoes. Pretty gross, we only ate a few bites of this. The steak with potatoes and spinach was acceptable.
The biggest downside to the whole experience came later. My dining companion and I suffered from stomach upset and cramps starting later that night and lasting into the next day. We're guessing that the issue was the old tasting cheap oil in the appetizer. Overall, I understand the kitschy appeal but this was a very disappointing dining experience.
Great place for a unique and delicious dining option.
Great restaurant. Love the food. Great service. Make sure you love garlic.
We brought my husband for his 40th birthday and we had a wonderful time. That being said, the food was good but not outstanding. Mostly you pay for the novelty.
Great service, great food.
This is such a fun restaurant and the food is delicious! I highly recommend anything on the menu!
Waitress was amazing! Food awesome!! Will go back again!
Service was so slow! The food was just alright. Prime rib was chewy, the waiter broke the cork on our bottle of silver oak. All in all the whole night was a total blunder.
Great food
Great dining experience / really enjoyed the Louisiana shrimp / rolls and dessert were tasty / love garlic
My wife has always been wanting to come to the Stinking Rose and she absolutely loved it. The Garlic Prime Rib is to die for! We enjoyed every minute here and we will be back.
