Arrived, table not ready.
Only 6 menus in the entire restaurant???
Had to share 2 menus with 5 people.
Ordered cocktails. Everyone’s delivered but 1.
10 minutes later we’re told can’t make the missing cocktail because there’s no mint.(If we didn’t flag waiter down we wouldn’t even know)
Food meh. Short rib Quesadilla (ordered because great for sharing) was served as an egg roll?!?, turkey meat was lunch meat, black angus burger arrived well done.
Only thing worth eating was blue cheese stuffed buffalo chicken meatball appetizer.
Left The Stinger & went to The Haven rooftop bar, should have skipped the Stinger altogether

After reading quite a few negative reviews on OpenTable, I was hesitant to attend. While it was true that they didn't seem to have a record of the reservation I made through OpenTable, the server told us we could sit at any open table so it wasn't a problem. The server was very funny and attentive and gave us great recommendations! The drinks were amazing and the food was great. I definitely recommend this place.

My reservation was confirmed for 10 people yet when I arrived at the Stinger, it was closed for a private event and I was never notified ahead of time causing me to scramble for a different venue as my guests started to arrive. Very poor performance and form.

Sadly was disappointed with this place. Ambiance was cool and drinks were enjoyable but service was quite terrible for a restaurant where you're spending $20 on a drink. Would not recommend dining here with all of the options in NYC.

The best cocktails I've had almost anywhere. Service could have been a lot better. My date and I felt pretty ignored. There wasn't seating at the bar, and the bartender wouldn't let me order a drink after dinner and sit in the lounge with it.

To be clear, this is a cocktail bar with food, not a restaurant. There are hi-top tables and low cocktail tables and nothing in between. The menu is more complicated than your normal bar food of burgers and sandwiches, but the quality was disappointing. We tried some of the shareables and found them all to be mediocre with too much sauce and all spicy. We had been to Todd English’s previous restaurant at this location a few times and were really disappointed by the difference. The service was also pretty poor when the place was not even half full. We won’t be back.

This is a hotel lobby restaurant.... nothing more. We arrived and there was no host. Waited for 10 minutes before flagging a waiter. He said we could sit up at one of the high top tables which are self seating (we booked a standard table). Food was mediocre and over priced. Way too noisy as well.
Tons of better restaurants in Nyc. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

Overall great place but because we were tucked away at the back of bar high top seating, I felt we were a little ignored with service.

Located in the Intercontinental Hotel on 44th Street, this quiet cocktail lounge has generous drinks, good service and a great menu. The food choices were awesome and the tartin dessert was worth all the calories.

Ate here before when it was Ca Va and had a great dining experience. Now as Stinger it's really a bar/lounge that serves food. Yes, they had a table reserved for me, but there is no hostess, no one seems to know what's going on, they really have only bar/lounge tables, the server said it's basically open seating, the front door is locked (you can only enter from the hotel lobby now)...I don't know why they're still on OpenTable and why they're still taking reservations. The food was interesting and OK, but way overpriced. The cocktails and wine were first-rate, but also on the expensive side. Our server was quite pleasant, but clearly had too many tables to handle efficiently.

So when I arrived I found most of the restaurant closed for a private party. I spoke to the manager and he gave us a tall table, which was ok. My complaint is the hot food was cold. The mezze plate was very good. The dumplings arrived luke warm and even the replacement wasn't much warmer (although we 100% appreciate the effort of our waiter). The pizza was underdone in the middle and luke warm. We were told the bread pudding was served hot, it was not even luke warm. We sent it back. The waiter was attentive and helpful, but the kitchen was the main issue. Sadly the manager didn't even come by to apologize. I don't think I would recommend this place for anything other than a drink. Being that this is Todd English, it was disappointing.
