The Stewart is an intimate bar-and-lounge in the heart of Easton, MD, with an unparalleled focus on the very finest of single malt Scotch whiskeys and vintage Champagnes. Upon entrance, guests are transported to a sphere of sheer refinement and spirit sophistication where one of the most impressive assemblages of Scotch in America is gloriously ensconced in the eloquent Federal Street enclave. An elegant evening progresses in an atmosphere of updated and distinguished Highland splendor: gleaming dark woods, handsomely refurbished period seating, gilt-framed oil paintings of Highland scenes, an intricately pargeted plaster ceiling, and, naturally, tartans galore. A crackling fire in the cooler months provides cozy ambient undertones within an 18th century walnut and brass trumeau chimney.

We have been fans of the Stewart since it opened and it keeps getting better. It started as a premiere Scotch Bar with light appetizers and now has added dinner items and some extraordinary upscale appetizers along with wines and other cocktails. The service in impeccable and led by the bartender/manager, Adam who knows everything about the large collection oif single-malt scotch. Last night we had oysters with caviar, some amazing sushi rolls, the house specialty grilled cheese with braised shortrib, prime beef burgers and a mochiko chicken with a wonderful french burgundy selected by Adam. Another extraordinary culinary experience in an intimate bar and lounge right out of Scotland!

The Stewart is always a sublime dining experience. The dining room and the welcoming staff feels like a sumptuous private club...elegant and friendly with treasures waiting just beyond the kitchen door. They are justifiably proud of what they do. The crab cake was a wonderful addition to the menu, chunks of backfin barely held together with a perfectly seasoned binder. Sushi rolls, beef tartar and grilled short rib sandwich all delightful. Always a tour de force..

Adam makes every visit to The Stewart special. He is the best bartender and a Scotch encyclopedia. We had a wonderful evening.

It’s too small of a place to serve dinner / entrees. Tables are very small and more suited only for drinks. They should market themselves solely as a bar with small plates only. They give a new definition of low top seating. Not comfortable if you are a taller person to sit. Only go for drinks

Anniversary dinner. We were met with a flute of champagne. Everything was first class. They even threw in an extra dessert

It was my husband’s birthday, and I wanted to go here. At least two other people were also celebrating their birthday. It’s a great choice for a special occasion. My husband started out in a very grumpy mood but our servers were unfailingly friendly, polite and patient with him. I really appreciated that! Very expensive cocktails ($20 each) but the menu was interesting and not over-priced. The food was just outstanding! So my husband’s mood improved greatly, thank goodness!
