   Lovely pub, good atmosphere, food was good but inconsistent across all the meals, my partner had pork and there was more fat than meat, however the beef and other pork dish were brilliant cuts and cooked to perfection. As a local it's great - and very family friendly. Staff are lovely and always very good service .

   The Steam Crane have done an excellent job in reviving this warn out pub. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. Our lunch arrived promptly and looked good. The portion of meat and potatoes was somewhat smaller than I would have expected and not reflective of the £15 price tag. I would recommend cooking the meet slightly longer as I would describe it as rare not medium rare as stated. All in all very tasty but slightly overpriced.
