The place is no longer one of my favorites. The staff, waitstaff, has changed and the food is average and expensive for what you get. Everything is ala carte and the menu is limited. The waiter was less than friendly and hard to understand as she either had a cold or was hoarse. The restaurant is so dark it’s almost impossible to see the menu....
It is not the same as when It was The BESH Steak House.They no longer serve free pate' when you sit down. As a matter of fact, you cannot even ORDER the pate. Their prices are up. Free side dishes are gone but can be ordered a la carte. Wine pours are smaller and old wine favorites are gone. Needless to say, we were disappointed.
We haven't tried their steaks as of yet. This time around we had their hamburger. Huge and juicy. It's best to make a reservation unless you don't mind waiting.
We had to send one of our plates back as you don't want to eat undercooked pork, but after it came back the meal was fine.

We visited the steak house for the first time. My parents do not eat large portions, so they split a steak and restaurant was very accommodating to do this. Steak had good flavor. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We plan to visit again, next time in New Orleans.
Absolutely fine food. My boyfriend and I are vegetarian and found so many tasty options! The servers, host, and manager are all very attentive. We took two desserts and they were delicious a day later.

We very much enjoyed our most recent visit to the steakhouse. We had an early reservation at 5pm and benefited from the happy hour menu as well as the full menu. We started with two great cocktails and two happy hour appetisers the tuna tartare and the beef carpaccio which were delicious. We settled for two salads with a side of grilled shrimp for our entrees and again these were delicious. Combined with great service this was a very enjoyable experience.

Love this restaurant. Have been coming for years. Fantastic steaks and nice quiet atmosphere. If you’re in town it’s the place to go. Very pricey but worth it.
We ate at Best many times and felt it inconsistent. First time now and it was excellent. Crab cake outstanding as was the Tuna and redfish entrees. More NOLA style food and really great. Service was excellent also!

Possibly the worst experience we have had in a restaurant. We went for my husband‘s birthday to enjoy a good steak. The restaurants name is the steakhouse however they do not know how to cook a steak. Our steaks ordered medium came out rare. The steaks were remade however it took 45 minutes to get the order again by then we were both so disappointed that we were unable to eat and enjoy our dinner. The manager did take my meal off of the bill however I’m not certain that this solves the problem of a steakhouse not knowing how to cook a steak. Also the manager was extremely defensive when the problem with the steaks was first brought to her attention saying that all steaks are cooked to the correct temperature. She later admitted that they were not cooked to temperature. We recommend that if you are at Harrah’s in New Orleans and you want a good steak that you go to one of the other numerous excellent restaurants in the area.
We had been to this restaurant two years ago and it was outstanding. This time it was just ok. The menu had changed and the food was not great. The Caesar Salad was bland with not enough anchovies or garlic and when we mentioned it to the manager that came by he seemed cocky and cutesy about our comment and did not take it seriously. They also had a liver pate that they served before and no longer offered that. The selections on the menu were not that special and side dishes were nothing special to choose from.
This place was a complete joke, it seems like they were on a strict budget but still charged elite prices.... when value exceeds price people buy, it was not good from start to finish
We had Valentines Dinner here. Service with Todd was above exceptional. Our meal was superb and delicious. Restaurant Manager Wendy stopped by and asked how our meal and service was. We were very impressed with the overall experience. We will definitely return next time we are in NOLA
Mom’s birthday. The short rib appetizer melted in my mouth and was dinner sized. Everything was delicious!
The steak wasn't even hot at a steak place, and it was undercooked. The Brussel sprouts were good though. Our waiter had no personality. i just wanted to get out of there.
Valentine Day Dinner was our occasion.....Celebrating 51 years of marriage......This is an upscale...top of the line restaurant......if in New Orleans don't miss it........
Good food and service, nice and convienient location in Harrahs. Not the best I've had in New Orleans, but far from the worst. I would go back.

Worst dining experience I have ever had at a Harrah’s. Restaurant. Been to this location several times and was never more disappointed. Watched the manager doing nothing, kitchen staff playing with their phones and was ignored by the wait staff for every other table. I didn’t receive what I ordered for my sides and the menu was lacking. The quality of the food I was served was very well prepared however there are better choices at Manning’s or Ruth’s at Harrah’s New Orleans worth the money. Save yourself and go anywhere else.
Drab environment and terribly overpriced. Restaurant lacks any kind of ambiance. Decor is consistent with a casino buffet, not a high end steakhouse. Presentation was off: steaks and potatoes were squeezed onto a small plate with not enough room for either. Vegetables were fine. Meat temperature was only thing they got right. $200 for 2 adults. Everything is ridiculously overpriced for the quality of the environment and professionalism of the staff. If you’re anticipating sometime in line with BR Prime (Brain Rivage) then you will be sorely displeased. You’re surrounded by excellent options in New Orleans - avoid this one.
Ceasar salad was amazing! My husband had the rib eye & I had the 10oz filet. Both steaks were cooked to perfection & so tender! Great meal!

I went for a steak and I was impressed with the other options. I got the lobster tail which was perfectly cooked. I started with the crab bisque it was truly tasty with substantial pieces of crab meat. I also had the swordfish which was also perfectly cooked on a bed of grilled shrimp and various kinds of beans. Great is what I would say.
Had several great meals there this trip. Food was great overall, and we tried lots of different dishes. Servers -- Joy and Anthony were very good - attentive and both had a great sense of humor! The bartenders, Patrick, Mark, and Joey are so much fun, and make great cocktails! Love the new layout and the guitar player was incredible! It was much more crowded and lively than when it was Besh. We were quite pleased with all of our dining experiences. Wine by the bottle is a bit overpriced, and I'd love to see a few more fish options, as well. But, we do recommend that you try it!
Had dinner with my husband. I had the ribeye - requested medium rare. My husband has the speckled trout. He enjoyed his dish very much. Mine was just ok - steak had been burnt on the outside - it was charred - inside was med rate but the taste of the char permeated the entire steak. For the price paid, the steak should have been cooked perfectly.
We visited mid week and the restaurant was very quiet. We were early and were offered the option of the happy hour bites as appetizers. We tried a couple of these and the stuffed chicken wings and the tuna tartare were delicious. We shared the pork chop for our entree and it and the accompanying risotto were beautifully cooked and presented. Great service from Shawn and good wine made this a perfect evening.
Excellent venue for a new years eve celebration. The special menu was outstanding and the suggested wine pairings were perfect. The beef tenderloin was cooked to perfection. Our server Todd was efficient and very pleasant.
