Covid limited menu. Ready for restaurants to make a break for better times and restore their menus. Food came out at a nice pace, tasty and steaks were cooked corrected. Ruby added to the service experience and was prompt but not rushed.
Excellent Hostess and seating. Great waitress service and attention. My first visit in over 30 years
Easily top 10 steaks of all time!
I’ve eaten at this restaurant many times but who ever cooked our
Food was not much of a chef
My salad was vinegar only ... not good
My husband ordered skirt steak it was also not as good as the last time we were there
Excellent meal but even better service from Shawn. I started with a wedge salad which could have had more dressing and blue cheese crumbles. I followed that with the 8 oz filet cooked Oscar style. The filet was cooked perfectly and had that crisp outer edge. The Bearnaise sauce was outstanding! Everything was accompanied by a bottle of Oran Swift Palermo cabernet sauvignon. A very enjoyable evening!
The food was excellent. Our server was Ruby he was awesome. He took extra care of us and even took a picture for us. The whole restaurant was great experience.
The halibut was perfect —service great —our wait person Ruby was very attentive and awesomely helpful—can’t wait to come back luv the new menu and chef :)
Amazing service and steak
Always good. They could back off the dance music. A little to clubbish for a steakhouse.
Loved the food, crab cakes outstanding. Eric our server was the best! Ate there two nights in a row and enjoyed food and service both nights!
Food was very high priced and not very good. The service was good
I asked for my sauce and crab meat on the side of my asparagus it came on it. The waitress just said try it you may like it.. wait what! I don't smh. She never took it back so I didn't touch it. The steak was burnt and had no flavor!
Overcooked steak with lots char. Slow service, dropped one of the deviled eggs, didn't offer to replace it. With COVID we seem to think most restaurants service is lacking.
Service was excellent and the good was delicious.
The drinks and desert were great. The food was the part I was not to fond of. The gumbo was starched and food was a bit overcooked.
Steak house has very dedicated staff that want you to have a great dining experience.
We had looked on line ahead of time and decided to have their “Culinary Special” which is a 3 corse package with limited selections. Upon seating they brought menus but the special was not on the menu so we ask and the waiter acted put out and brought us the Culinary menu which is separate from the main menu. I would have thought they would bring both.
The waiter suggested duck gumbo but both they brought seafood gumbo which wasn’t very good and had bits of oyster shell in it.
My wife had the filet for the entree. It was ok but nothing special and was undercooked (barely warm) in the middle. I had fried halibut and it lacked seasoning and was VERY greasy.
We wanted the crostata for desert but were told it was sold out which was odd because the restaurant was limited to half occupancy and had only been open for an hour. Ended up with a cake which neither of us liked.
Was a bit disappointed. Service was lackluster. She hardly ever checked in on me. Gumbo was so-so. Definitely not much for the cost. Ribeye was not tender, and several pieces were inedible. Potatoes were just ok.
I realize the menu is scaled back but I was expecting a lot more.
we celebrated our 12 year anniversary ordering steaks; my steak had crab meat, and the steak and crab meat were delicious. We liked the char oysters. Our waiter was on his game.
Amazing place as always! Staff most attentive and delightful also! Food superior and delicious. Love the artwork and ambiance!
We had three filet mignons that were melt in your mouth good! One of us had the ribeye, great taste but too much fat and gristle.
From the caesar salad, duck gumbo, shrimp cocktail to the filet mignon, everything was excellent. Then to finish off with the chocolate cake I was stuffed. Will be back again soon.
Food was bland.
Food was memorable, Ruby was fantastic, and this was such a treat for our anniversary.
The food is always delicious, and we love the new menu the Chef has created. We come in at least once a month and have tried almost everything. I recommend it all. The steaks and seafood are cooked to perfection and taste so delicious! The cocktails are also amazing. Try one of the specialties before dinner then have a nice bottle of red with your steak!!! I love steak and red wine. It’s the best here. The team treats you like family from the door to the bar to the table. They take great care of their diners.
Food is AMAZING. The caviar deviled eggs, the salads, the redfish, the steak, all the sides, INCREDIBLE. And loved our server as well. Second time here and just as in love as the first time.
Best pate I have had in ages, and large portion to boot. Ruby delightful, and when we go back we will definitely request.
Steak just right with incredible flavor, especially with that wonderful sweet lobster butter melted in.
Great Cosmopolitan too.
I have had great meals here so I was surprised at how lackluster this current experience was. Started off great by seating us early and our waiter was there to take our order quickly. That was the last we saw him until we stopped him to get our bill. The food was ok but not what we’ve come to expect.
For the money, go to Ruth’s Chris
The manager came over to the table to tell us that new rules from the government came into effect that required us to eat with the face mask on. And I later found out that the governor did make new rules but it doesn’t require you to eat or drink with your mask on. She made us very uncomfortable because she stood there looking at us drink and eat to make sure we were putting the mask on and off. Then when my mash potatoes came I asked for cheese and sour cream. The manager, the guy who bought the food to the table and the waitress argued with me about how the cheese is made on the potatoes and implied that I lied about the previous visits I’ve had there. The manager could have just said yes we put chunks of cheese in the mash potatoes but if u like oh can have it shredded and melted on top. She never tried to make me feel comfortable. I told her I just visited here 1 week before and the mash potatoes had shredded melted cheese on it and they all said no it didn’t. I believe if I ever had it before I wouldn’t have been so shocked. The waitress didn’t know about the promotions or the menu. The experience was horrible.
We sat down & my husband ask about the 8oz. Filet... they were out of. No steak smaller than 12-14oz. We had ordered a drink prior to being informed of that, so we advised that we would just be having the drink only. Immediately after, the female manager?, ask me to place my mask over my mouth. I ask how I could enjoy my drink with my mask up. The table beside of us had her mask down the entire time & was speaking very loud. Felt like we were discriminated against since we had decided to dine elsewhere. Never again. Harrah’s needs to figure out there management style...be what you portray to be or not. This is a highly rated restaurant on Open Table. We went across the street to Ruth Chris, which was a class act. Would never recommend this restaurant to anyone.
amazing food, professional service, we love the new menu
I do not recommend if you are looking for somewhere nice and quiet to eat. The music in the restaurant was so freaking loud! It was also the same dance beat/crappy music that they play in the casino. When we asked the "manager" to turn it down, we were told that she could make a small adjustment. Nothing changed after complaining. The 'manager" said that she wished that she had more control over the choice of music and volume but the real manager likes the music and actually likes it louder than it was. We couldn't hear each other across the table unless you raised your voice. They were doing a good job of distancing the tables at this time but you could still hear nearby tables' conversations because they had to "yell" over the crappy music.
Now for the food.....skip it and go to Ruth's Chris across the street instead. Better quality steak and the sides are so much better at Ruth's Chris. My Crispy Skin Chicken was dry as a bone and the risotto was watery and very undercooked. I understand al dente rice but this was quite crunchy and hard.
The only plus was that they gave us a free dessert because they didn't have the appetizer we wanted (ricotta and spinach gnudi/gnocchi).
Steaks were under cooked the creamy potatoes were not even close to creamy price is way to expensive Ruth’s Chris is way cheaper an way way better tasting
Maybe-if you're using reward credits, but if you're paying with cash, definitely no.
The food is absolute perfection. The staff treats you better than family and takes care of your every need. Try the black spaghetti lobster, meatballs and crab claws. The steaks are divine. It’s all heaven in your mouth. The wine list is impeccable, and the drinks set the mood for a great evening in Mew Orleans!
Ruby was an excellent waitress !!!
It’s always good and reliable.
Awesome dinner and service. We were there to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary and Jess was our waitress. She was amazing!
