The waiter was very respectful, kind and professional

I was really disappointed with the food. The bread with the barbecue shrimp was burned, the gulf shrimp pasta was a bit salty. My steak was cooked perfectly but was not spiced at all

I heard so much great stuff about your food and that why I invited my brother for dinner there. I want to try it again here in NJ or NYC.

Sadly this outing was a disappointment. Primarily because the service was simply very poor and almost non-existent. We had the unfortunate experience of having a server assigned to us who wanted to spend Way too much time talking and joking with clients instead of actually doing his job. We were greeted by him fairly promptly. He asked us what our water choice would be (we chose sparkling) and if we wanted a cocktail or bottle of wine while we looked over the menu. We said yes and I ordered a bottle of Champagne. He cam back with the water in about 5 minutes but no bottle and then asked us if we needed more time or were ready. We ordered salads and our dinner choices (a steak for me and Sea Bass for my wife). In about another 5 minutes our salads arrived but still no Champagne and we were out of water. We asked for a another bottle of water and he said he would be right back with that and rolls. 15 Minutes later we got the rolls but no water and again NO CHAMPAGNE! He was then called over to a table next to use with the manager by a group of 4 whose dinners all had arrived cold. They all sent them back and cancelled their dinners. That was when we knew we were in trouble. A table runner brought us our dinners about 15 minutes later but again no cocktails. When our waiter showed up after trying to talk his way out of the cold service from the table Next to us he said "Oh, I'll get your bottle" and took off. Never asked us how our meal was or if it was done correctly. Just about when we finished our meals he arrived with the bottle of Champagne which we sent back unopened.
Such a great dining out town and we got stuck with a Denny's trained "Drop it and Run" server.
Totally disappointed, will never go back!

The blackened red fish was great. Service from Langton was also very good. Enjoyable evening. Recommend.

Good food and great service. Nice selection. Had a little bit of everything. Steak was over cooked, but that seems to be the trend almost everywhere now. Would recommend if you’re in the casino and have some comps.

The crab cake had too much filling abs not enough lumpy crabmeat. The marinated crab claws were delicious. The bread is a new addition and is a special treat. We had redfish which was good. Andrew was an attentive server.

It’s changed dramatically since John Besh ran this restaurant. This in our opinion, is no longer fine dining. It used to be our go to place when arriving on our frequent trips to NOLA but the white table cloths are gone, the white china, the enclosed booths are no more. Replaced by placemats and two tops. It’s sad really.

Great food and service. We were seated in center of dining room for a dinner where I stated We were celebrating our wedding anniversary which the staff recognized with a congratulations. I would have enjoyed a little more private of a location to be seated instead of where we were placed. Other than that I did enjoy the experience and would most likely return.

Culinary selection was wonderful. Our server, Jasmine, was the best. She was knowledgeable, professional but friendly. My husband is a joker & she kept him on his toes. Thanks for the military discount!

The Coolinary three course was fantastic. The Old Fashion, smooth and soothing. Our Garcon gave us exquisite and entertaining service. And they validated our parking!

This is our second time. From the moment we enter and are greeted by the two wonderful hostess to the waiter,management the experience is wonderful.the food is excellent.
This has become our best place in NOLA FOR PRIMERIB.

The sous chef was manning the grill, and my $68 Prime strip was charred on the outside to the extent that it was all I could taste. The manager did take half the price off the bill(my companion and I split the steak and her half wasn't as bad) and offer a new one, but it should never have been sent out like that. Also, our server spilled wine on the glass when she was pouring it and said "be careful, there's wine on the base" instead of wiping the glass!
I've eaten here many times and always enjoyed it, but anymore experience like this and won't go back.

The steak was the star of the show! Good service that was not intrusive Only miss was the side asparagus, dry almost burnt tasting a real miss. But I will certainly eturn.

After reading reviews on how "exceptional" the food was, I decided to make reservations to celebrate my and a friends birthday. I reiterated upon checking in at the hostess stand about our celebration. Our server, Todd, was attentive. We ordered the fried oysters, the croquettes and shrimp cocktail as appetizers. They were "fair" to say the least. As entrees, my friend ordered the 10 oz filet (med well) with the surf addition and a loaded baked potato while I ordered the 16 oz ribeye (med rare) with the surf addition, bernaise sauce, a loaded baked potato and a side of fried brussel sprouts (which had excellent reviews...saying they were "to die for"). Her steak was cooked medium or slightly under that. My steak was cooked to order, but the baked potatoes were not even luke warm and not fully cooked or old as they were hard as rocks (I've had a better baked potatoes at the Wendy's fast food joint). The bernaise was cold and the brussels (as much as I love brussels) were absolutely terrible tasting, chewy/rubbery and also luke warm. Todd took the potatoes back and brought 2 more which were edible. After finishing what little of this meal we wanted, I was hoping for at least some recognition of why I had booked the reservations in the first place, to celebrate our birthdays....but nothing was offered...The table was being cleared when Joe Pilie, the "manager", came around to ask about our dining experience. I covered all the issues with him at that time. He inquired if Todd had given us new potatoes .... WOW ...really ???!!! The only reason I am giving any stars is because Todd was a good server. The problem was apparently with whoever was preparing the meals. So for a bill of $200.00+ (no alcohol, no dessert....just dinner and a soda), I was more than disappointed. Perhaps it was an "off night" for the kitchen staff, I don't know; however, will I eat there again or recommend a friend??? Simple answer...a definite and unequivocally NO.

Had to send our steaks back , when they were served they were rare even though we had ordered No Pink. Our server was very attentive and pleasant and apologetic for the way our steaks arrived. This was on Wednesday night after a huge rain and most restaurants in the French Quarter were closed due to flooding. The hostess seated two young women right behind us and they were extremely loud and talked on their phone almost the entire time ( So Rude ) Absolutely would not return of recommend.

The staff was great. The steak was okay. I keep going back because it is the best restaurant in Harrahs, and each time I hope that it gets better. It is just missing that amazingness that other steakhouses in this price range have.

Prime steak was bitter from over charred in oven, shrimp cocktail was over cooked
bread was like a rock, manager took off the steak because we could not eat it.
Only good thing was a waitress who was trying hard...I even thought they were bringing out old food
because we were Asians? I hope not.

We had a terrible experience at this restaurant about a year ago. Decided to try again mainly out of convenience. The experience was much better this time. The prix fixe I had was a great value. The crab cake was loaded with crab, not breading and the steak was perfectly prepared and the cheese cake was too big to finish. Menu selected appetizers and steaks for others in our group came out perfect as well. Service was very good.

My wife and I have eaten at this restaurant when it was called "John Besh Steakhouse." During those times when Besh was directly involved, we always had a wonderful experience -- especially the quality of the food. We have eaten there one time since the name changed to "The Steakhouse." For our daughter's 21st birthday, we decide to take her and two of her friends there on June 29th. It was an awful experience. The service was good, but the food was the worst. Because they no longer have the porkchop, which I used to always get, I had the "pork (something)." It was uneatable. The entire bill was close to $500.00, and it was worth much less than that. The salad was not fresh; the crab/orzo rice was served in a bowl and felt like it was more of a "mush." The sauce that came with my pork was pesto -- who serves that? The steaks were flavorless. It was simply awful. Yet, the waiter was nice and apologetic.

Had a warm welcome to the restaurant, hostess was really nice. Once seated and food was ordered, food arrived at the table cold!!!! Appetizer and Entree!! Never thought a steak restaurant wouldn’t know how to prepare and deliver a steak hot. And to think that the manager delivered my plate to me 🙄 Food was just okay. Won’t be returning

We visited on Father’s Day. The two hostesses that greeted us were so friendly. Our waiter was ok. He took our orders and brought our water & bread then we never saw him again until it came time to pay the bill. Our foods flavor was unbelievably good. However each one of us had a complaint about something. My potatoes, my dad’s and both my sisters steaks were cold. I have been here several times going back to when it was Besh’s and I think this was the worse visit i’ve had. I expected more for the price we were paying
