The Steakhouse at Paso Robles Inn
Had a wonderful salmon dinner. Was a very enjoyable experience.
It may because they were understaffed but we were disappointed. Experience really wasn’t very good. The server though friendly struggled and at times was no wear to be seen as was the others.
We went to celebrate our anniversary, the service, food, and ambiance was perfect! Food was delicious! They even gave us a free dessert and appetizer for our anniversary. Will definitely be going back!!
Overall, a good place... Service was slow... Had to ask for the waiter and for items like water... Food was ok, steak was good, baked potato was overdone and seemed to be microwaved... Veggies were good... I had expected better from a steakhouse...
Not our taste in ambiance. Food was fair but nothing special.
We completely enjoyed our dinner at the Steakhouse. We both had the prime rib which was more medium than medium rare but still tasted great. The asparagus and salad that accompanied the prime rib were also quite good. Our server was very helpful and attentive. Definitely going back the next time we're in Paso Robles!
While the steakhouse itself was very nicely appointed, it appeared that they were having staffing problems, and it showed in the food and service. I just had an appetizer for dinner (steak bites, which were quite tasty) but the other three people all had meals, and all were dissatisfied either with the way they were cooked or the quality. I loved staying at the Paso Robles Inn (for three days) and would have eaten more meals there if the quality and service had been better.
Service was very slow, we had a very early dinner reservation, so that was a surprise. Waiter was very nice and attentive but took forever for us to get our entree. Food was good when we got it.
The food and ambiance were great, the service was a little slow and confused, also they were out of 4 entrees, and 2 bourbons
Excellent place to come to try out all the different, delicious wines that Paso has to offer. The service was great. What stole the show was the bacon-wrapped dates, I'd highly recommend them.
The meat itself was about as expected for a small town steakhouse. It was fine though not quite fulfilling. The filet was not quite as satisfying as I'd hoped. It was cooked as ordered (medium-rare), it just tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge off the bone for quite a while. Though take this all with a grain of salt from someone who is long used to the best Dallas Steakhouses and cooking his own meats.
Recommendation to the chef: try offering more cuts off the bone. A bone in ribeye would be a good start, and I think even a bone in NY or KC strip would do well also.
Great dining eperience, great good and service with kudos to the chef.
Not our first time here and we will certainly be back!
Service was great! Jacob was helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. We never felt rushed or ignored.
Food came out prompt and hot, cooked to perfection and so flavorful! This is an old school classic steak house with plenty of new school favorites (You have to try the Brussels Sprouts!)
Food, Service, Ambience, and Price all on point!
Food was great. Servers were very nice but kept disappearing. We were celt3 birthday s they never acknowledged.
Steaks and chicken were burnt. Potatoes were undercooked.
The Steakhouse is a great place for a quiet dinner. Friendly staff and good service.
Too many other really great restaurants in Paso. This place was a classic in the day and it’s really too bad that as a steakhouse our NY steak was tough, chewy, cooked poorly. A steakhouse should have the best in steaks. For those that want fish, the only option is Atlantic salmon. Really, when 30 miles away is great fresh California king salmon?
The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We had a large group at a table in the middle of the room and it was a bit loud which made it difficult to talk to or hear people a couple a chairs away. It was also a bit pricey considering the meals did not include soup or salad. Overall, it was a very nice experience.
quality of the food has gone downhill since last visit
Steak was cooked med. well instead of Med.rare-rare as ordered. Dessert was delicious. Service was friendly but took a very long time to get our food on an extremely quiet Sunday night. Overall might try it again in hopes that it was just an off night.
Sat on the deck upstairs next to the Bar. If you think you can handle a very spicy Bloody Mary this is the place. Bar food was good , we people watched along the street.
This was probably the worst steakhouse I have ever eaten at
Wine was oxidated. Steak was all grisel and fat
Waited 45 minutes between salad and entre
Waiter brought dinner out dropped it and ran We had no silverware on the table I had to get up and walk around and get silver to eat
Live in Paso but never eaten here. Glad we came. Prime rib was excellent.
Food was horrible. Took forever to. get there and the restaurant was basically empty. Even the cocktails were garbage. I ordered an old fashion and got a fruit cocktail with s8me bourbon in it....literally pulled a handful of feuit and toms of ice out of my glass....just bad all around...will not be back.
Fabulous buffet brunch!!!!
Attractive modern room which may be unusual when attached to an inn. Service was great personal but not obtrusive. Very interesting choices beyond the edited steak choices. Good cocktail!
Thanks babe qqqqqqqqqqqqqq
The service was great but all of our streaks were too charred, almost burned on the outside. Otherwise place was great!
They change their menu every so often so it wouldn’t make sense to review what I ate. I can say it was excellent. Don’t skip dessert. They have an amazing lemon cake!
People somewhat friendly. Waiter nice but unfortunately they had run out of baked potatoes by 8:30 pm! Substituted mashed but those tasted like they had been reconstituted flakes. Also out of the wine we preferred. Steak WAY undercooked. Ordered medium. Wonder how they could have cooked it less!
We were there for a friend/family reunion and birthday. The food was great and the service was friendly, attentive and professional. My 20 month old granddaughter was getting antsy and needed to walk around. The staff were friendly and offered fish food To her to feed the fish. She had a blast! Then our server brought out a chocolate dessert for the birthday boy (my son-in-law) and we all started into happy birthday to you in four part harmony. Everyone in the restaurant applauded! Such a great time!
It’s too bad that the food did not match the wonderful service and delightful waitress that took care of us. The steak had to be sent back as it was as much fat as meat and very little taste. The second piece had meat, but still was tasteless. Sorry we chose this birthday dinner.
Great food. Sat outside to enjoy the view and koi pond. A group inside was very (and I mean rude) loud and inconsiderate of other diners. The waitstaff was friendly but could be a little quicker with water refills. Ordered the prime rib but there was only 1 order left. We had waited a very long time and assumed food would be out when the waiter came to tell us that we needed to choose another. We happily chose another meal for the second dinner and the food was all delicious. Waitress acknowledged we were kind and understanding of the situation which was nice.
we had a great time and food in this rustic inn. The ribeye was awesome.
Nice no frills dinner. Best part was the bacon wrapped dates! Decor was simple, service was good. Really no complaints. Enjoyed the night.
My New York cut was dry and tough, the sides lived up to the hype. My wife had half rack of pork ribs. The ribs were so over cooked that the meat was mealy and tasteless . The bark on the ribs was good. We had been to the Steakhouse a number of times and were never disappointed.
Great time here, our server Joey was awesome, very attentive and gave great food suggestions. Steak was cooked perfectly, exactly the way we wanted them.
Food was very good. Service was excellent!
I expected a better experience and was disappointed. We were seated at a table facing the street and didn’t realize until we left that there was a beautiful area facing the patio/ garden. Our server was young and couldn’t answer questions about wine and there was only one special.
The artichoke appetizer was charred beyond reason and not much of it was edible. The dinners were okay, but nothing special at all, especially for the price. Our waitress was inattentive and we had to ask others for refills of water. We skipped dessert and would not return there.
Considering the options in the area, I wish we would have gone elsewhere.
The food was very average. The wine selection was very limited, surprising for a restaurant in Paso Robles wine country.
