Its a steakhouse right ? We arrived and they informed us that they only had prime rib , ok that doesn't qualify as a steak house !!! The prime rib was awful, the dropped a slab of meat on 3 plates and my husband got 2 edges of the rib which was clearly left overs, they never bothered asking us if we wanted desert and just gave us a check. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE !!! TRAGIC!!!

There were four of us, and because of Covid 19 we were seated outside. We arrived for a 6:30 pm reservation and was seated immediately. By the time our meal was served the sun was behind the trees and we were very comfortable.
The food was good, but not the best that we have had.
The servers were excellent. They paid attention to us and checked in on us often.

With everything that has been going on, we felt safe. Things were clean and everyone wore a mask until seated.

We plan to go again.

food was very good. Sitting alfresco can be great but the constant breeze cooled the food off quicker than we could enjoy it. The wait staff was great. It's a cozy, quiet and pretty dining place.

What is great is the outdoor seating, in a peaceful garden out back, with meandering stream, waterfall, twinkling lights, beneath enormous spreading oaks and magnolias. We ate here for breakfast, host was a bit muddled, but servers were terrific, food came quickly. Not a ton of choices, but the basic veggie omelette was just fine, came with nice bowl of fruit and choice of muffin or toast. No complaints, and for sure the setting is great.

You are well taken care of from the hostess to the server. Limited menu due to Covid but still many choices. Delicious cocktails from local distilleries. Paso is well represented at the Steakhouse.

Good place for a good drink at the bar upstairs. Dining room downstairs was fine. Service was great but the $40.00 rib eye was not very good. It was a half inch thick and gritty. $29.00 prime rib was actually better. If you don’t mind an old fashioned place with decent food you will like it. Everyone was nice.

We were seated outdoors next to a quiet stream with koi fish. The atmosphere was perfect.
The menu was simple but contained everything you would want to order
The food was excellent - perfect sears, the accompanying sides complimented the entrees well.
The Seared Halibut was actually artwork on a plate.
Then our waiter - Joey.... e.x.c.e.l.l.e.n.t
Attentive, but not intrusive, never had to look for him, even though we were in a somewhat secluded area. He made on-point suggestions and was the best.

The menu was limited due to corona virus traffic I'm sure but they did not have a few items that were listed on the limited menu so that was not good planning. The service seemed very slow even though the customer count was light so I'm not sure why. I would hope everything improves when times get back to normal!! I would also suggest they make sure all customers that come in are wearing masks as is the current mandate in the state!

We ate outdoors and the weather was very pleasant. Service and food were perfect. Dealing with the Covid-19 dining requirements is equally tough for the servers as well as the guests. Our server was definitely trying to be positive about their constraints and requirements. We look forward to returning again when things become more "normal".

Paso Robles Inn is doing a great job with dining in. They are following all the protocols for safe dining.
We had a great Father's Day breakfast their prime rib special was excellent. wife had omelet and it was very very good.

Great experience felt safe and the food and service great.
Their Manager was greeting each guest and making sure you had a mask to enter.

Came there for the prime rib but they were already out by 7pm. Settled for a rib eye steak which was good. The best thing was the grilled peach arugula salad. It was excellent. Plan ahead if you want something on the menu that they run out of. Other than that, we had a nice dining experience.

Wow, where to start? How about not being sat at a fully set table, then waiting 15 minutes to get some water. Hmm, maybe the 5 out of 5 steaks being cooked incorrectly and coming cold, non-seasoned and with undercooked non-seasoned veggies/sides? How about having to ask for wine to be poured by waiter who admitted he wasn't even of age to serve us? Perhaps the lack of support through out the entire restaurant? We did not SEE a manager. I'd never go here again....get some professional cooks and waiters please. Thank you. In defense of our server, he did have a good attitude and tried to make things right in the end but the effort was too little, too late and should have been handled by a manager. Additionally, this server needs to be TRAINED. Again, not his fault....

I have nothing but good to say about your restaurant, except when i made the reservation i mentioned it was my birthday and wanted a booth by the back window, like we have done for the past three years....When the Hostess went to seat us she took us to four top table and when i mentioned we reserved a booth, she rudely said "those are not always gauranteed"...mind you if the place was over booked or extremily busy that night i would have compramised and took a table, BUT the restaurant was very slow and she had a few booths open....Bottom line....she could have said it a little more nicer and things would have been great...But it was a nice dinner and waitress was awesome....Thank You

Hotel restaurants are always a challenge. This one was no different. Very friendly and welcoming maître d. I don't know the name of the waitperson, but he was robotic and hard of hearing (had to repeat numerous requests); not engaging and never seemed really present. He wasn't unfriendly; just not "there." I had the shrimp cocktail as an appetizer - nice sized pieces and bland as shrimp usually can be. The sauce was one step below ketchup. My companion had the calamari and way too much of it as an appetizer for one. He thought it tasted OK. I had the hamburger, medium rare, and fries. The hamburger, cooked as ordered, was tasteless. The fries were hot and cooked very well - they were quite good, but way too much of them. My companion had a rib-eye steak, medium, that was pretty bad: more fat than meat and tasted like those cuts you get from the local grocery store. He didn't finish it. The accompanying mashed potatoes were cold. I had the lemon cake as the dessert: this was the best item of the night. Nice crumb and not too much icing. My companion had the lava cake (judged as OK) and ice cream, which melted almost immediately. The interiors were slightly depressing - pretty dark and all of it seemed old.

The location is great, especially if staying at the wonderful inn. Our steak was returned 3 times to be cooked and still wasn’t great. Chicken dishes were the best we ordered.

We usually spend one night in Paso Robles while on our way to southern. California. Tonight we chose this restaurant for dinner.
I was disappointed when I asked for a glass of Pinot Noir to be told they didn’t have any. Not by the glass or by the bottle. Seemed they hadn’t had any for several months. I chose another type of wine.!!
I ordered a salad to split with my husband and it came with just a dollop if dressing in the middle of the salad.
My salmon was a huge piece which was nice. it was sitting on a bed of white rice (no sauce) but the middle of the fish was very undercooked.
We left without dessert or ordering an extra glass of wine.
Not sure I’d return.
