Consistently great! From the staff to the food to the whole experience- it was GREAT! I look forward to dining there again very soon.
Fantastic as usual! Consistently the best, most tender filet around and the lobster anglais is is a perfect addition.
The atmosphere was very relaxing and there was a good gap between ordering drinks, receiving appetizers/salad/soup and receiving the dinner. Didn't feel rushed at all. Food was outstanding (I had the prime rib but only offered on Sundays).
Delicious and a beautiful atmosphere! We loved our night out!
Food was excellent but we did wait quite a while (almost an hour) to get our food after ordering. Delicious bone in round eye and my lady ordered a filet mignon. We both enjoyed them a lot.
The restaurant was elegant and cozy with a fireplace. We were greeted by friendly staff, the waitress was very well versed on the menu. Food presentation was remarkably creative and pleasant. The steaks were very delicious and cooked perfectly. We will definitely return there and recommend it to friends.
We were a little apprehensive at first due to it being at the Shilo Inn. Smaller restaurant and we were seated next to what sounded like a larger room reserved for groups, so it was a little noisy a couple of times. We went on a Tuesday so were happy to be told it was a 25% off dinner night. The filet mignon was excellent as was the salmon. Obviously a great Chef.
Our favorite steakhouse!
The service is great and friendly and the food was phenomenal. I would only suggest they invest in updating their furniture and decorations. However, if that unsettles the great food and service, don’t touch a thing.
We will definitely have this place at the top of our list when we are wanting a great steak dinner.
We always have a wonderful time and the food is always good. Service was outstanding as well! Highly recommend!
We were a bit dubious since we discovered this was inside the Shilo inn, however everything was excellent. Especially the food and the service was great will certainly be going back.
Took my wife for her birthday, absolutely love this place.
Great experience all around
Looking for a good steakhouse nearby, this restaurant ranked high online so I took my son there for his 21st birthday. We loved the ambience and service was good. My son ordered the prime rib which was perfect and I ordered the filet mignon, which I ordered rare. Unfortunately, it was medium. I didn't send it back because I have never sent anything back, it was still very good. I want to return with my husband sometime soon.
Limited menu. Great presentation and good steak. Wonderful staff
Simply fantastic! I was really surprised by all of it. Great service, great value...fantastic steak & presentation!
Had seen quite a few good reviews. Thought we would give it a try. Food was fantastic! Only gave 4stars for Value for this reason. While the food is incredibly affordable, especially for the quality. The price of wine by the bottle is ridiculously high. Will definitely go back and recommend. It is in the Shilo, which is kind of strange but it is very nice in the restaurant and surprisingly very cozy and comfortable. I would recommend to "open your mind" about the Shilo motel location and give it a try. We do Ringside, Jake's, Morton's, Ruth's Chris, M&S all the time, this was just as good! Next time I'll check the corkage fee.
This was my first visit to the restaurant, based on the good reviews I thought it'll be nice to celebrate my sons birthday at this restaurant. What a big disappointment, the food was fair and bland. Ribeye was very fatty and salad was tasteless. The burger lacked seasoning, cocktails were overpriced for the neighborhood.
For sure I will not be going back to this restaurant again.
We have been going to the 9900 for a couple of years and with only one exception when there was a large and very noisy group, it's always a great experience and the food is excellent.
I rarely post a review. The prime rib was to die for!! I had prime ribs in some of the finest restaurants in North America. This prime rib was the most delicious, perfectly cooked and spiced. The price was below any place else. $27 for 10 oz. the Cesar salad and mashed potatoes were excellent. I think this is one of the best hidden gem in Portland.
Absolutely loved the experience! Staff was very friendly! Food was delicious! :)
There was an overpowering fragrance in the lobby that made us want to leave. It was very toxic and made me cough and wheeze.
That needs changed immediately, as folks with allergies and asthma will not be able to tolerate that scent.
Our waitress Dacota was amazing. The chef cooked our meal perfectly.
This restaurant was absolutely fabulous. We were looking for a good steakhouse and were pleasantly surprised to find this gem located in Southwest. The menu had a great selection of steaks and all were reasonably priced. We had the New York steak and the filet mignon which were excellent.
Our waitress was very friendly and checked on us a couple of times. We will definitely be returning to this establishment!
Overall this was ok. It was our first time there.
I've never been to a steakhouse where they didn't bring bread. There were two small plates on our table but they must have been for appetizers (which we did not order).
The website advertised 25% off on Tuesdays, but this was not reflected on our check
Our server was very busy, as he was also bartending. I feel like people who had the server at the nearby tables had a better experience - she was super friendly. Our guy was pretty rushed and not very warm. He also didn't know the answer to a pretty straightforward question - how big are the lobster tails. we ordered them anyway as an add on - they were small and very mushy. The texture wasn't good at all.
I wanted to order a drink but every time our server came to the table he was rushing past, so I didn't get a chance. At one point, I had my finger on the drink menu pointing to what I wanted when he stopped to check in - but he was just doing a fly by, not really waiting for any other requests.
My steak was cooked perfectly but my husband's was overdone. We both ordered medium, but he had a bigger steak.
I'm not sure we'll be back.
We love the 9900. It feels like a classic throwback bar/restaurant type of vibe with fantastic service and excellent food. A real gem in Beaverton. Love the smoking lounge upstairs as well. Check out "The Chamber!"
The overall experience in this charming, yet unassuming spot was very good. The restaurant is connected to a local hotel making this find even more surprising. Caesar salad was very good, fresh and substantial. This was followed by the rib eye steak well executed, and can match Portlandia’s more premier locations such as Ringside. Desserts of crepe brûlée and lava cake were both spot on. Add on the attentive and genuine service and the night spent here will definitely be repeated. Recommended
This was our first visit and both the food and service were excellent! It was so nice to order the side of shrimp with our steaks and have them cooked to perfection, so many places overcook their shrimp! We were too full for dessert, but everything else, including the coffee, was fabulous.
Our second Christmas Eve dining here. We will be back next year!
great quality with excellent staff & atmosphere- love this hidden gem!
The food was amazing. A little pricey but it was worth it for such good food and service.
My husband and I don’t get a chance to go out on a date night very often as we have young kids, so we were excited to try a new steak place for our night out. We ordered drinks and a salad and that was fine. Then our meals came out and my filet had lobster sauce on it (which I had ordered without). Ok, fine. The waitress said they were fixing it and the owner was even working on it. A few minutes later, she brought out a new steak (no sauce this time), but It was not every very warm AND when I cut in to it, it was NOT medium well (like I ordered). Because I dont get steak that often, and it is fairly pricy, I didn’t want to eat steak other than how I had ordered it. The waitress did not come back for like 15 minutes, of course my husband had finished his meal by now and I got to sit and watch him eat. When she did come back, I told her the steak was not cooked medium well as I ordered it and since my husband had already eaten, just to take it off the bill. To my surprise, she was like...ok! Then she asked if I wanted to order cheese cake!!!??? Seriously, I didn’t eat....so maybe I want desert? I politely, said no and she went and got us the bill. Meanwhile, I had no Diet Coke in my glass...no offer for a refill. No apology, just pay up and be on your way. I was really surprised that the we were told the owner was in the kitchen and never bothered to come out and at least say they were sorry. I guess they have so much business they don’t care about a customers experience. Oh well..that was a bust! We will not be back. I would not recommend if you want to make sure you get to eat.
Food was fantastic and the service was great. The only reason I gave 4 stars for ambiance is a sensitive nose can smell the propane from the fireplace. The fireplace itself was very nice especially in the winter. More dessert choices would also be nice. All in all a wonderful dinner. Would go back again
Consistentyl the best steak I've ever had and the service as well as the cocktails were amazing. Definitely coming back every time we go to Portland.
Good Thanksgiving dinner. Pricey but quality.
I was visiting family for a few days We wanted a steak dinner. We could have not chosen a better place. We asked for a table by the fireplace and they were very gracious. My daughter and I had a fabulous time. The lemon drop during was one of the best. You had a nice selection of wine. We had the lobster Cobb salad and split it it was a beautiful salad and tasted just as well.
The atmosphere was horrible! I felt like I was in a coffee shop
I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday and it was great. We were a bit weary at first since it is in the Shilo Inn but we’re happily surprised. The service was fantastic, the food was delicious, it was nice and quiet and the ambiance was very delightful. The only issue I had was with parking. It is the hotel parking and it’s very limited and compact. Overall it was wonderful and will be going back again soon.
Love the food and staff at this place.
Great service. Great food. Best calamari anywhere. This is a hidden gem.
We were pretty disappointed with the service, originally we came with no reservation and the restaurant was basically empty but the hostess told us they were really busy so there was going to be a wait so I made a quick res for 7:30. The hostess didn’t even know the soup of the day when we asked and our meal took around 40 minutes to come out. The service time was terrible despite the food being good and the waitress being very nice, which definitely can put a damper on the mood.
