Great Filet. Cooked to perfection. In-house Caesar salad was great. Service was professional and friendly. Food served at appropriate pace and correct temperature. A go to when in the Portland area!! Oh, and follow up with a night cap and smoke in the Chamber at 9900 cigar bar upstairs.

The atmosphere is above the typical motel restaurant. The food is delicious- steaks were outstanding! Wait staff was very attentive and friendly. Casual atmosphere- good for families with children. Highly recommend this restaurant.

This was our first time at 9900. We went for my son’s birthday. We liked the Steakhouse it was small and quaint. Our server Anthony was fantastic! Very attentive and funny too! The appetizers were ok. We had stuffed mushrooms and steamer clams. Pretty basic not much flavor. The entrees were a disappointment unfortunately. We had ribeye’s that were perfect medium rare but the sides were lacking. Baked potatoes were dry and old. Seemed to be microwaved. The shrimp risotto was soupy and flavorless, not hot. Plates needed some garnish. Overall I give it four stars because the staff was awesome and the prices were affordable. We will give it another chance for steak but order different sides. Hoping the food is better next time!

Amazing food! My steak was incredible and salad very fresh with great flavor. Our 11 year old said it was the best burger he's ever had. We will definitely be back!

First of all this is in an old Best Western hotel… not at all like the pictures… torn seats in the booths… we were from out of town… and we extremely disappointed.. I will say our waiters were amazing!!!

This was our first trip to The Steakhouse at 9900 as it was recommended by OpenTable. Had a hard time finding it as it is located in the Best Western hotel so they don't have their own sign. We went for valentine's dinner. I noticed all the ladies were presented with a rose when they checked in (nice touch). We ordered the New York steak and the salmon and both were perfection. We will definitely be going back and recommending it to friends.

We enjoyed our dinner overall. The service was outstanding!! We were told they were out of baked potatoes, at 6 pm. Apparently the kitchen staff thought they would not be busy on a Thursday night and did not bake any! A steakhouse without a baked potato! Also out of NY steaks, and steak bites. Steaks were good, but not as good as we have had before. Will go back again, maybe go in Lou’s bar instead.

Salads and appetizers decent for price—best things were the bacon Caesar salad and mushrooms. Ribeye steak was average in tenderness, size and it came with two sides and a sauce but taste was average. Mostly tasted salt on the steak. The blue cheese butter, was strange in texture and taste. Steakbites were overcooked to well done and had to send them back. Even the rare done replaced ones were not tender. Bourbon sauce was ok to me but others may love, very “orangey” tasting. I always wanted to try this place, but for me, is definitely a one and done.

staff was amazing, food couldn’t have been better, I had the filet and my fiancé had the salmon, she loved the salmon and the filet was incredibly tender and cooked perfectly (medium-rare. If you get a filet any more done than medium rare you’re wrong. Sorry not sorry). The steak bites were the appetizer we went with and they were so good I almost just ordered another round as my main course. Which I’m glad i didn’t. Our waitress was super kind and very punctual and we never had to wait to order. Food was brought out about 15 minutes after we ordered it. Drink options were very well made and incredibly smooth.

It was not was I expected. The waiter was either new to being a waiter and/or challenged in some ways but did his best. There were 4 of us and we all got steaks and all of our steaks had to be sent back because they weren’t cooked to what we requested. The flavor of the steak was good. I didn’t like that the 2 sides to pick from gave 6 options and 4 of the 6 options were all potato variations. There was only 1 veggie to pick from which was asparagus and it was ok. Overall the ambiance as really dark. There were burned out over head lights which made it hard to read the menu. A candle in the center of the table would have been a nice added touch and would have helped with the lightening issue. The staff in general were polite and apologetic about the steaks not being cooked to our request when we placed the order. There was 1 dessert to pick from that was it. For what I paid being $240 for a meal for 4 adults I expected more. We won’t be going back to this place.

We went to this restaurant on Friday night. For some reason they ran out of several menu items. The steaks were available and cooked well, but other entrees or desserts were not available. It was not very crowded, the service was good enough, but there were only a few menu items to choose from. As I understand the restaurant is closed on Saturday and Sunday. It was probably the end of week for them. Overall the food was fine, but the dining room looks very dated. We would recommend it for steaks only. Other than that the menu is very limited.

If it wasn't for the exceptional effort from the server, this would have been even worse. This is a "steakhouse" with just three steak options, and one was not available. We ordered a filet and the salmon, and was told later that the salmon was not available. Then told that they no longer had baked potatoes. The filet was fatty and tough . . . very unusual for a good cut of meat. Finally, after ordering the house brownie for dessert, we were told it was too late to prepare it. All this for a "mere" $168, including tip . . . a poor value for this dining experience.

I would not recommend that restaurant to anyone. Only one server and they were out of baked potatoes, meat loaf, only had one filet left and some other things and we got there at 5pm! Service was very good but the ambiance smelled like smoke throughout and did not know from the advertisement that it was in the Best Western Hotel. I ordered the last filet and it said six ounces for 36.00 with two sides. There was probably 3 bites of steak on that plate.That was crazy but I did not say a thing. I am not sure how they get busy as they did when we left around 6:30 but by then they probably didn't have much left on the menu. How hard is it to cook a bake potato when you are still serving mashed potatoes!!!
