   Value for money in a beautiful restaurant, time to sit a enjoy your food, pleasant waiting staff. Expensive if you want to add an alcoholic drink though that's the only downfall.

   The food was mediocre and the service was poor. Don't know if they were short-staffed or if our server was just inatentative, but we never saw her again after our food was served & she only had 2 tables.

   We had the high tea and it was excellent value for money and atmosphere was lovely. Staff were lovely but perhaps could do with some more as would have like to have been able to order more drinks.

   The service was peremptory, slow and sullen. Arrived early by 15 minutes, the Brasserie was not busy, curtly instructed to "sit in the bar" return at allotted time. Food order took an unacceptable time to arrive. The server was clearly unhappy at serving us. She made her disapproval of the way that I was attired abundantly obvious which I found quite unacceptable.

   Been to the Station Hotel lots of times but this visit just didn't live up to its usual standards. Had to ask twice for water for the table, we chose to have the ice cream instead of cakes, but no chocolate ice cream, firstly we got told our cakes would be out soon, which I corrected the waitress saying it's ice cream for the ice cream to arrive including chocolate. Then when it came to pay there was a service charge already added on which you could get removed if you wanted, don't like this idea. If this was my first visit I would have second thoughts of coming back.

    lovely food well presented great price wise had high tea recommend a visit here 14.95 PER PERSON FOR MAIN COURSE TEA OR COFFEE TOAST AND CAKE STAND
