Lovely place attentive service and loved the singer really great to have live music, food was good although the meat arrived with all the fat around it which I found a little off putting, would order again but ask for it without all the fat 😀

Good experience overall - we’ve just rebooked but we didn’t see it at its best on a very busy Saturday evening. The staff were friendly and worked hard but it all seemed a bit stressed and noisy. Food was good, wine likewise and prices are reasonable. Really hope it succeeds, the town needs a good and reliable restaurant like The Starr

Good décor, comfortable seating. Good food although they got our order wrong. Service lacked the sophistication you would expect from this style of restaurant.

Booked for Sunday lunch! They had a fabulous singer, not too loud, just back ground style which added to the lovely atmosphere! My husband had the mussels to start which he said were delicious, then we all had the roast dinner which was really tasty! The waiting staff were exceptional and very attentive! We had a few drinks in the bar afterwords, lovely decor and comfy seating! We were very well looked after by the bar staff. Lovely experience and will be back x

Excellent value for money for fixed lunch menu. Please r staff and service and pretty good food. Excellent lamb chops and chicken wings. Great flavour. Fish quality was ok rather than great. Would return

Nice food, lovely setting, good waitressing. Lovely drinks, we had a couple of cocktails and a bottle of wine. Good selection of food on the menu. Def worth a visit and we would go back.
