Located in the heart of downtown Stratford, steps away from the Avon Theatre, The Starlight is loved by locals & tourists alike. Listed as one of Air Canada’s 2024 Best New Restaurants, our menu crafted by chef Yva Santini is perfect for sharing pre/post theatre. We are bringing the dinner party back and we can't wait to welcome you. Our kitchen is open late 7 days a week to make sure you can dine anytime. To drink: think ice cold martinis, margaritas on tap & fan fave house bottled cocktails, hyper local craft beers & a carefully curated wine list paired perfectly to our menu. The vibe is motel chic meets mid-century modern and once night sets in the candles are lit and the room transforms .. think old school piano bar meets 70's lounge. We host live music featuring local musicians EVERY weekend. Saturdays are local good time bands, Sundays are musician focused jazz & mondays feature monthly karaoke & trivia nights. People watch on the patio in the summer season!

The Thousand Island salad was delicious and lots of chicken -however I thought $22.00 for the hamburger was excessive and in my opinion should have included either a salad or tots. The two gentlemen I was with said the burger was very good but were still hungry.

Went with the Starlight poetry grp. Met for brunch before afternoon readings. Partner & I had French toast & eggs hollandia with tater tots. Both were excellent, fresh, filling, just right portions. Coffee was fresh brewed & hot. Service was prompt & cheerful. Would definitely go again

Really interesting flavours, food was well done! But poor quantity for the price. Still felt hungry after many appetizers and a main course. Entree plates are not full plates, they are like second appetizers. But quality was strong. Probably won’t be in a rush to return.

All four of us tried different items from the brunch menu. All of us were very pleased. I had the breakfast sandwich with the Perth County pork, fried egg, etc, and it was delicious. We had two orders of the apple cider crueller to share and they didn’t last long! Very fresh and tasty. What I particularly enjoyed was the ambiance. The staff seemed enthusiastic and friendly, the decor was charming, and the layout was very comfortable. My only constructive criticism is that the outdoor patio doesn’t do the place justice. It looks bright and super casual but it wouldn’t have attracted us if we’d been walking by. I would have assumed it was for a much younger crowd and not realized it had much broader appeal and sophistication.

The service was exceptional! The food and cocktails were amazing. We all shared arancini, antipasti, and house bread and butter, and the fries with garlic aoli. All the dishes were exceptional and memorable. We will all be back to try the meat options next time!! Thanks for an amazing night 😊
