Attentive service. Reasonable varied menu with choices for vegetarians. Was quite busy so good atmosphere.

We didn’t expect it to be as busy, but it’s great to see the pub so lively again. Fab food and friendly service. Although a lot of things weren’t available, because it was busy, we got to eat what we wanted. Local food from local producers! Thank you, we will be back😁 Mani & Jane

We really enjoyed our family meal. The steaks were great quality and value and the skate wing was cooked perfectly.

food choice and quality was poor. Staff friendly but sadly lacking in product knowledge. Lots of things on the menu were not available, surprising given such a small choice. Website advertises specials, but non available, somethings listed on the website menu also not on the menu in the pub. We had fish and chips, and a scampi and chips. All very overcooked, touching on burnt, but they were only just warm which is odd given they were burnt. We live locally and have waited for new owners/tenants to take this pub on, but sadly its very much the same old. There seemed little enthusiasm for a pub that had recently changed hands

We’re committed to offering high-quality food in a warm and welcoming setting, and I’m sorry some menu items were unavailable during your visit. As everything is freshly prepared each day, we occasionally misjudge demand—particularly on busy days like Wednesday, which was unusually lively at both lunch and dinner. I do hope we’ll have the chance to welcome you back and provide a better experience next time.

The food was good, the venue and staff were excellent; my concern was really around value for money! Specifically, the ‘sharer’ platter was just about enough for one and definitely not enough for two!

We appreciate the point around value for money and we'll review the amount of food included and the way we describe the boards as they're not intended to feed 2 people, simply that they are often bought along with other small dishes to create a shared eating experience. Nice atmosphere my only comment in addition to the positives sent before is I would appreciate more vegetables with some of the dishes. When full the restaurant can get v noisy and difficult to hold a conversation
