About The Stanton Social
Chef/owner Chris Santos has teamed up with Tao owner Richard Wolf, and the James Beard 'Best New Restaurant Design' award winning firm AvroKo, to create The Stanton Social, a staple and neighborhood favorite of the Lower East Side.
The design of this three level hot spot tips it's hat to the neighborhood’s garment history and offers diners a culinary odyssey. All menu items are designed for sharing, offering guests a chance to experience multiple dishes and flavors throughout their meal. In addition to its 120 seats, The Stanton Social offers a lounge and bar on the upper level, featuring guest DJs. Dishes range from $9-$30 each.

The Stanton Social Ratings and Reviews
The food was very good, the place had charms and our waiter was very nice, but they get a big minus for not letting us have the table before the whole party was there which meant two of us had to hang around and wait for the others while our table was empty and awaiting us. What kind of service is that? Makes no sense.
Yet another phenomenal visit to the Stanton Social! From the moment our amuse bouche arrived (spicey carrot soup YUM!!), we were taken on a dining journey. We have been enjoying the goat cheese and truffle pierogies for years and they always enchant the senses. The Notorious FIG cocktail was exceptional.
We chose Stanton Social because we enjoyed it so much a few months ago. We are a group of seniors. Three if us ordered the Chicken and Waffle dish. It was so hot the ladies thought it would be better to try another piece maybe they were imagining it. None of them ate their meal. There was no mention on the menu that it was cooked so hot and spicy. When the waiter came to take our plates he noticed the food was all left over. He asked the ladies if they wanted something else, they were not about to eat anything at that point. It was very disappointing.
Two suggestions: 1) if you're going to clear the plates from one course, take the cutlery too, don't set it down on the table for "re-use" or because you think it's acceptable to do that; 2) don't try to clear plates from the table while people are still eating. I had higher expectations of this place. Whoever manages the floor should be sure the staff are all trained correctly.
Lekkere tapas! Leuke, jonge sfeer. Wel meer dan een half uur wachten zonder aperitief te kunnen bestellen, en dit ondanks reservatie. Aperitief moet aan tafel, maar dan komt eten er ook direct aan... het gaat naar mijn mening te snel! Vrij luidruchtig.
My annual birthday brunch with eight women friends/sisters.
Beautiful atmosphere... tasty menu choices and excellent service.
Scott, our waiter was spot on. Immed asked if anyone had allergies or food issues.
He was pleasant and attentive.
Will definitely recommend Stanton Social and will be back another time!
We were seated an hour late from out time of reservation. There was no place to wait, bar was extremely crowded, no way to order a drink, so was the reception area and it was 10 degrees outside. My table was 8in from tables on both sides, so there was no way to go to the restroom.
Six of us met up for a birthday dinner. Service was prompt and professional and did everything they had to. Just not the most personal but that’s ok. Everything was served as it should. Food was great, could use a little more variety, some lighter options perhaps. Everything we ate was great! (Except maybe the chicken and waffles) waffles were very soggy. But all the rest was delicious!
Overall a great dinner and I will be back and I would recommend.
