                                                                                        This was our first time going to the restaurant. Thankfully I made reservations as the restaurant was absolutely packed when we arrived at 7pm. We had a nice dinner & the overall experience was very nice.

                                                                                        We started with ordering glasses of Prosecco and they arrived in martini glasses vice flutes, which we found odd. We split a Caesar salad served with tiny cuts of interior gem lettuce with very little green. The pieces were so small they were tough to keep on the fork. The dressing was bland and would have been better with Parmesan distributed over the salad vice a Frico for presentation. My wife ordered blackened salmon with polenta that was lacking in flavor, which seemed odd when ordering something blackened. The dominant flavor was the butter in the polenta. I had a NY Strip that was perfectly cooked medium rare. Crispy Brussels sprouts were tasty. The server, James, was very attentive. For the price point though, I expected better flavors in the salmon dish and Caesar salad.

Only disappointment was that one of my guests had looked at the online menu and it was not totally accurate. There’s was at least one item online that was not on the current indoor menu. They acknowledged that the online menu was not totally up to date.

                                                                                        Brought in 2 Brits that were just in Portland, and went to a steakhouse there, only to be severely disappointed. The Standard’s filets redeemed America back to being where they want to go for top class steak. They can’t wait to come back.
