I really wanted to be outside, but they said there wasn’t any heaters available. We then wanted to be in between the outside and inside because there was live music which sounded great but we wanted to talk. The service was good and the Bday girl was happy. Thank you.
From the moment we walked into this restaurant we knew there was something special about it. The layout is very unique. It was our first time here and will definitely not be our last. Once we were greeted by our server, we noticed that a couple next to us had a delicious looking plate of skewers. We ordered the same thing and were pleasantly surprised. The food is exquisite. We were celebrating our four year anniversary and I’ve already asked my girlfriend to take me there for my birthday in three weeks.
Beautiful ambiance, excellent service!
It was a raining day so I'm not surprised, but we were the only people in the restaurant for the two hours we were there. The inside was comfortable. Service was great and the food was terrific. I would definitely like to come back to enjoy the outside area. It's the biggest area and has cute seating. Seems like a nice place to have breakfast on a warm day or wine on a warm evening.
Amazing and romantic for a date night! A hidden gem of a restaurant. The food was well priced and delicious. Outdoor seating is a must for its ambiance and live music.
Went on a Sat night at 7 pm. Not very crowded but there were some big groups. The place has lots of space. Really nice outdoor ambiance and live jazz music playing at just the right level. The place wasn't too loud which I really appreciate. The cheese plate was sort of odd. Not up to the standard I'm used to. The barbecue was good but not great. It was a little inconsistent and the shrimp was a little tough. The menu said there would be scallops and there weren't and no one told us that in advance. The beef and the chicken were good as was the ravioli. The chocolate mouse and the apple strudel were tasty treats.
I wanted to like this restaurant since a friend had recommended it. However, I was very disappointed in my meal. I ordered a pasta with grilled chicken and from the first bite of my rubbery chicken I knew I was not going to be impressed. My husband did like his seafood salad but my daughter was not happy with her GF pizza. The staff was very attentive, we were 1 of only 3 parties on the patio. Unfortunately I can’t recommend and will not be returning.
Beautiful relaxed setting, great food, great service.
Great experience! Great food, entertainment was outstanding and the service was friendly and inviting! Highly recommend it!
Cute patio with great ambience. Really great service!
Went to the Stage on 12/8 for dinner; I had the veal chop, which was pretty good, and my wife the ribeye, which was also a good dish. However, the desserts were very lacking; as I had an Apple Strudel that should just be called a pastry strudel since there was almost zero apple content.
But the worst was the music that was playing....they had a live band that sounded like they were "warming up" the entire time, and a trombone player who could not hit a note to save his life. When they tried playing Dave Brubeck's "Take Five" without a clarinet, subbing for the above trombone, well that was more than we could take and we left.
Poor service. The waiter basically was useless.
They don’t have a firm grasp on what gluten is.
Service a little slow but tolerable for
First time there and was told by a friend. Great ambiance and great to go there in large groups. Nice music, except for the table next to us had his iPhone on playing loud Armenian music which was overpowering the nice band performing. Service was slow and a little scattered. We had to get up and go to the front to ask for things we needed at the table. Prices are a little high for what is being offered.
I wish the olive music lasted a little longer after 10.
Nice outdoor dining. Good ambience and privacy. Lovely live music. The food was flavorful and tasty. I think they can use more servers because we waited a very long time for our food. Overall a nice place and will go back against
Excellent restaurant. Great food, fantastic service and outdoor seating. I definitely recommend it for any special location or just for a casual nice outdoor dining
Excellent food and service. Ambiance of restaurant is amazing
Consistently the best place in Burbank! The Stage is always wonderful.
We ate lunch at The Stage on a Sunday.... we were there early 11.45amish and it was very quiet. By the time that we left ~90mins later though the parking lot was pretty full. So I imagine the noise level went up. We thought the menu had great selections and we had among our group a seafood salad, a smoked trout salad and chicken marsala. All were good. We will definitely return as there are many other menu selections that we would like to try. The outside patio is a pretty spot to eat in too.
My only gripe is only beer and wine. Other than that this place is fantastic! Great ambiance, server, food, menu, comfort, relaxing. Loved it!
Really beautiful, romantic spot, but was surprised to find so many kids! The recorded music was terrible elevator music, but the live music at 7:30 was amazing—more of this! Service was just ok—most staff appeared to be new and it was our waiter’s first night, so finding out what sauces were on our skewer plate was futile. They know how to grill beef. Chicken was a tad dry and shrimp/scallop was over cooked on outside, undercooked on inside. Peach appetizer was huuuuge. I’d go again for a date at 7:30 and try new stuff.
Food good, service awful. Two of us were served our entrees and waited almost a half hour for the third person in our party to get his entree. Hostess promised a 10% discount on our bill (woohoo) but it never materialized. Waiter then brought a beer we didn’t order and we never got any water refills. Who’s running the place?! Will not go back.
Very nice restaurant good service good food good music
Our server was awesome I wish I could remember his name but we had a really good time.
The staff seemed stressed. They were a bit slow to bring drinks. That would have kept us occupied while waiting for other service. It was a busy Friday night so we were patient.
The food was very good. We missed the appetizer flight that we shared previously. Please bring it back. It is a fun start to an evening with friends.
Love this place, one of my favorite spots, but no service whatsoever. Need big improvements on service.
I will go back just for great food and ambiance.
Just want to be very honest and give you my thoughts what needs to be changed and improved.
One of our favorite spots to meet friends! Garden setting, live music, good food! Try the grilled skewers! Everything is beyond good!
The day was a hot 93 degrees, and we were seated outside which was okay until the flies started attacking. No one was sitting inside although they did seem to have indoor seating. I notice nearby, other tables had burning coffee grounds on their tables to ward off the pests. We had to ask the hostess for one. Our waiter was okay but he did disappear for long period of times. He was a very nice person, he just seemed spread thin. The salmon was excellent. The short ribs were partly burned and only one was really edible. The waiter delivered the Creme brûlée and I moved it over and my fingers got burned by the hot glass. Had I known it was hot, he could have told us, I wouldn't have moved it. He did not apologize only said oh it must still be hot. Music started playing around 6:15 or so. It was very nice. The outdoors where we sat I photographed and are very pretty. We would return. I hope to give 5 stars in the future but they would need to improve service, buy machines to zap the fly population away or do something about the pests as burning coffee grounds smell horrible, and not burn the food.
Beautiful outdoor dining and incredible food. I love this place! It does not disappoint.
Really lovely tucked-away place with all outdoor seating surrounded by trees and pathways. Very mellow.
Forgot to write this earlier. This has become a go to place for things like Mother's Day / Father's Day and the like. Outdoor dining under an arbor of trees and vines. Excellent service, great food, large portions. Beautifully presented. For large groups they have a catering menu that is OUTSTANDING. Your entire group will probably go home with "doggy bags". And speaking of dogs...They are pet friendly too!
Highly recommend a visit if you haven't yet and if you have a large group, talk to them ahead of time and preorder your dinner. Amazing...
Always a pleasure here
This place is a gem in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Downtown Burbank. The ambiance is just wonderful. The outdoor seating area is a beauty with it's delightful garden like scheme. All around you'll find beautiful photo-op areas. There are designated private areas for all party sizes- both small and large.
The inside is great, too! Two of the interior walls are covered with aesthetically pleasing pieces of artwork, while another is a display of wine bottles, and another area is set up for live musicians.
The customer service is impeccable matching the presentation and flavorings of the dishes.
Out of town family visiting. Had a very early dinner but Kitchen out of my first choice for entree. Thought that was strange .
Amazing! Atmosphere was perfect and the food was delicious!
Outside seating was available and looked inviting. It was chilly and windy though. There were heaters at some tables but not all, so they offered blankets. When we asked our server for a blanket, he said they were all out. The restaurant was only half full. Then we noticed that heaters were moved to tables where certain parties had established reputations. Apparently, heaters were only available for them.
Service was slow and was never around when we needed them. Again, certain other tables had constant service. I felt like I was in an episode of the Sopranos.
Food was decent and they made appropriate accommodations for some requested modifications. But our food took over an hour to come out and did not come out all at one time. Other tables had their food come out much earlier even though they arrived significantly later than our party.
It may have just been an off night because the people in our party had been there before and had only positive things to say. Perhaps they just need to work on consistency.
Great place. Great food .Wonderful private patio/garden sitting, but slow service.
I reserved a table at The Stage for a business dinner with out of town clients, whom I had not met before.
Suffice it to say, the dinner was a rousing success. We were given a table on the patio, that felt like a private room, only you're sitting on couches. So conversation flowed easily. Our waiter, Luis, gave us great suggestions for dinner and was all - around excellent, as was the rest of the staff. Most of us ordered the steak - on -a- stone, which was awesome. We also enjoyed sides of Brussels and diced potatoes. The wines were quite good and reasonably priced. All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant....a real find.
Great food, service and music. Staff was very accommodating. Owners also came over to ensure our experience was going well. Highly recommend.
