   The Stag is a brilliant place to eat and one of my favourites. Always a warm welcome and the food is always excellent. The piano tops it off. FAB.

   A delightful Sunday lunch celebration - all ages (1 - 70) catered for. Lovely welcome and attention throughout. Beautiful rare beef, fine venison and sea bream with all the usual accompaniments.

   Best food I've ever had in this part of the county (at reasonable prices). My friend and I had a sharing platter and every single item was delicious. The desserts were fab too, and well-priced. The chef clearly knows her/his stuff. Great service. Lovely garden. After lunch one day, I recommended it to my parents for their wedding anniversary the following evening, and they had an equally lovely experience. I look forward to going back sometime to try out the gin and cocktail menus! I highly recommend this place - it deserves to be busy all the time!

   From the moment we entered the restaurant, we enjoyed every moment spent there. The warm greeting, the ambience, the friendly staff and the most amazing food. The choice on the menu was so good, I had trouble making a choice as all my favourites were there. On top of this, there was an amazing young girl who played the piano the whole time we were there without a break. Being a music lover, I was very impressed with her reportioire, playing all my favourites. All in all this was a very enjoyable evening, and look forward to going back soon.

   Our once a month Sunday roast treat at the Stag, food the usual high quality, staff lovely as always, reasonably busy so a bit of a buzz, all in all another pleasant experience.

    Been a number of times and it's always excellent. Varied menu which changes seasonally. A great mix of traditional and gastro type meals and in our opinion the best of its type we've found in a 20 mile radius. Great service, lovely presentation and meals piping hot. Cannot fault it and thoroughly recommended.
