We’re Sarah and Dan, the new owners of The Stag Inn, Low Crosby, and we couldn’t be more excited to breathe new life into this charming, historic pub. After viewing The Stag Inn, we immediately fell in love with the character of the building and knew it needed someone to give it heart and soul again.

A nice drink in the sun on the terrace followed by a delicious Sunday lunch (we all had the roast beef which was delicious). The service was very efficient and friendly. The inn had lots of character and had a number of guests so we were glad we had booked although we did see some walkers drop in who were on the Hadrian’s Walk trail. Next time we are in the area we will be sure to visit again.

Delicious food perfectly cooked. Great VfM choice of Sunday roast served with a variety of vegetables, cauliflower cheese, a la dente carrots & parsnips, roast potatoes, yorkshire pud, suede & a jug of gravy. I had the trout that was also scrumptuous. The service was exceptional on this occasion too. Our new 'go to' Sunday roast venue - well worth the 45 minute drive.

The staff were so friendly, helpful and prompt in service. Very caring to make our visit special. The food abit expensive but a very special meal. The flat iron steak highly recommended Will certainly go again

We love the food AND the ambience! Dan is an excellent Chef and Sarah is such fun Front of House too - all good in this lovely village Pub with Gourmet standard food. The Staff are young and still learning, but all of them are polite and keen to learn - it can only get better.

The Stag is top of our list for Sunday lunch atm and we are happy yo make the 45 minute car journey to get there for such a great all round experience. The food is outstanding. My husband had the rump of beef that was beautifully tender and melted in his mouth (2 thick slices). It came accompanied by a delicious cauliflower cheese, kale, roast potatoes, yorkshire pudding, and a la dente carrots & parsnip (the latter were particularly yummy). I had the trout on green lentils with tomato that also tasted delicious. We shared the croquettes to start & a sticky toffee pud to end with. Both the service & ambience were also good.

Michelin-star quality! Impeccably cooked, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavour. All dishes fantastic —perfectly balanced and inventive. Paired with excellent service and a cosy atmosphere. Worth every penny—can’t wait to return!
