                                                                                                          This is a popular local venue and one we visit 3-4 times a year. The food is good, the pub is cosy, and it is wise to book ahead. I do have special praise for our waitress this time who moved us into the nook to eat as the dining room became quite noisy. The main dining room is a converted stable and quite nice, but it can be hard to hold a conversation when it gets full....

                                                                                                          We had not been back to this pub for a few years and were a little concerned that the 'renovations' would have taken away the old-style and charm of this building - but no! Still as wonderful as it was - food was absolutely delicious, and waiting staff attentive and helpful! Excellent food and excellent service and will definitely be going back.

                                                                                                          Had a lovely Sunday lunch. The roast was great value for money and we had loads to eat. Best Yorkshire pud I've had for ages. Also had the option to choose from the normal menu so lots of choice.
