Very disappointing. The food was not good & mostly cold. Whatever we asked for they didn’t have. Kept saying they weren’t prepared. If that’s the case maybe you should rethink your entire entity.
Took out of town guests. Horribly embarrassing.

Food was excellent but service was very slow. I made reservations and was disappointed to be seated in the bar area.

First time coming back to the Stables. The dinner choices were excellent. The service was "Ok", not the best, but not the worst. The waitress could have been a bit more attentive, but overall, I would recommend Stables Restaurant.
The one thing I did NOT like was that they had a singer (lovely lady, great for this atmosphere), but they stuck her around the corner and we could not watch her play, only hear her. I think they need to fix that.

Rose Hill/The Stables was a wonderful dining experience! It seems to me that with an exceptional quality dish the portions are very often too small at most of the restaurants I frequent. The portion sizes at Rose Hill are very generous and the quality is superb! I had the salmon over grits, a side salad, an Old Fashioned, and the Lemon Tart. The salmon was perfect! The crunch on the top was very pleasing and the grits were so very creamy without being sweet. So many chefs make the mistake of the grits overpowering the main dish. This pairing was perfect and the vegetables perfect also. Each bite could be arranged in such a way that the flavors were very different. Every bite was exceptional! The flavors complimented each other very well. The Old Fashioned from the bar was also very good! I have had Old Fashioneds at The Whitney, Whiskey Alley, and The Wilcox. This Old Fashion was superb and even surpassed The Whitney which was my favorite! I enjoyed the smoky scent immensely while sipping on the cocktail. The side salad was also very nice. The pumpkin seeds and additional flavors were unique, pleasing, and not too complicated for the palet. So many chefs try to produce something unique at the expense of the taste of the dish by placing creativity over the dining experience. This is not the case at Rose Hill. The combination of the flavors are very pleasing! The lemon tart was absolutely beautiful, very delicious, and the pastry crust was outstanding! The live music nightly is much appreciated and does elevate the dining experience in my opinion. It was a very nice dinner. The food, atmosphere and service were well worth the cost of the dinner. I highly reccommend Rose Hill! It is my new favorite place to dine!

Went for NYE dinner. Was perfect!!
We went for New Year’s Eve and they failed to tell us they were offering an extremely limited Prix Fixe menu with either a beef or fish dish for the laughable price of $75 per head. The service was amateurish and unsuitable for the price point. The waiter continually asked us if we wanted appetizers even though none were available beyond the tragic arugula salad that seemed to have been gathered with a leaf blower from the parking lot. The salmon was served with an oily disaster that was billed as potatoes au gratin, and asparagus spears that were much too large to be responsibly served. The prime rib was served with the au jus sauced poured over it rather than on the side, which is simply not done. (The food runner also spilled au jus on my husband’s pants, ruining them, and did not notice.) We took our desserts to go, and they were the only edible part of the meal. The interior is not remotely luxurious or well appointed, featuring contractor grade tile and tables and chairs that would be more at home in a Ruby Tuesday’s. This restaurant has an identity crisis, and the price point is insulting for what is being offered. Don’t bother going here unless and until aggressive changes are made.
A week before Christmas on a Friday evening. Our reservations were for 4 at 7:00 pm. We arrived at 7 and we’re promptly seated.
The restaurant was not crowded until about 8:00 so we visited, ordered and our wait was perfect. All enjoyed their meals and we were there about 2 hours.
It was my second visit since new management this past autumn and both visits were excellent. I will certainly return again soon.
We had a wonderful dinner while attending Silent Night Silent Auction. We enjoyed dinner on the porch with our own mobile fire for warmth. The night was cool but the grounds were beautiful, the live music fun, and the voices from other tables a nice hum. We enjoyed Carpaccio, Fish Soup, Grouper, and Soft-shelled crab. I look forward to returning.
The brunch was fantastic. Live music was a wonderful bonus.
