Expensive dining with limited menu choice. The salads in particular were overpriced for content. While far too much food offered in the main courses - each plate was quite literally enough for two people. Attractive room was spoiled by intrusive music blasting away above our heads made it quite uncomfortable.

Great find in downtown Missoula within walking distance of our hotel. Quiet, modern interior paired with subdued music made for easy conversation. Food and drinks were great although my beef bourginon was not hot throughout. Fresh bread and homemade butters were superb. Service was professional and attentive. Overall a superb dining experience.

We were lucky to enjoy this spot on Memorial weekend which meant it was quiet and had exceptional, tentative service. The wine list is a delight with a plenty of options - rare here in Missoula. Started with leek and mushroom crostini - a tasty starter. French onion soup was a tad too sweet but beet salad and Beef Bourguignon was solid. Only complaint - carrots were still “crunchy”. We will be back.

Excellent as always. The service and atmosphere are incredible. The food is delicious and prepared perfectly. The Stables has become one of our favorite places to eat.

The food was EXCELLENT, two of us had the rack of lamb, was over the top perfection! As was our waiter (a tall fellow), very knowledgeable and did a great job, personable. On a road trip from Yellowstone Park, back to California, was the best meal of our trip. Quiet too, that was nice ;)
