   On arrival we were greeted by a young waiter who was very polite but had a very short concentration span. He showed us to our table but forgot to give us a menu. I ordered a bottled beer and had to twice ask for a glass. Some items were not available on the menu e.g scallops. The food was very good, delicious and very well presented. Good value for money. Average selection of wines available by the glass. Overall, we do like to try different restaurants but would return again.

   Absolutely beautiful food and always outstanding service! Very comfortable atmosphere, and felt really well looked after by front of house! Always a pleasure and would definitely recommend dining here!

   What an absolute gem of a place! Had a table of 4 for a family get together and was not disappointed. Lovely place, very nicely appointed and great service as well. Food quality was excellent and all freshly cooked - no fast food here! Prices were similar to some pubs we have been to so no premium rates at all. Menu did not overwhelm you with options but there was something for everyone. Dessert menu was similar but I can definitely recommend the Yorkshire cheeseboard. We are now trying to find an excuse for a return visit and it won't be long!

   Beautifully presented food. Reasonably priced. Gorgeous setting. Will definitely be returning.

   Very nice, quiet at first but soon filled up. Good service from the lovely guy who was mostly working by himself and working very hard! The bar lady also helped him when she wasn’t busy.It’s difficult getting people to work in remote villages. Food took quite a while to come out but when it did it was delicious- everyone at the table agreed. They catered gracefully with my food allergy and were understanding and helpful. Good value we felt and a nice atmosphere.

   Had our first Sunday Roast at The Stable Door and it certainly won’t be our last. It’s the best Sunday dinner we’ve found in the local area by a long way. Beef was pink, tender & well rested. Chicken was also tender. The yorkies are HUGE and come with plenty of extra very tasty gravy if you want it. Best crispy and tasty roast potatoes I’ve had anywhere. Beautiful buttery mash. Also had a great selection of superbly cooked veggies. All this served by friendly & professional staff in a beautiful setting. If you want a high-end place to have your Sunday dinner, definitely give them a try. Not tried their evening menu yet, but based on this we definitely will. Thank you The Stable Door

    Absolutely fantastic food with VIP service. Lovely restaurant set in beautiful quiet surroundings. Fully recommended. Will definitely visit again.
