With beautiful surroundings, and a stylish interior, The St George & Dragon in Reading is a classic meets modern pub, a perfect setting for any occasion. Our chefs take pride in preparing fresh, delicious tasting food using the finest ingredients. Signature dishes include spit-roasted chicken with lemon & garlic confit, slow cooked pork belly with seared scallops, salmon supreme served with thyme-roasted butternut squash, and our home-made British beef burger. For a lighter bite, our spiralised carrot salad and Mediterranean mezze are both delectable, or for some sweet indulgence our melting golden chocolate bomb with caramel ice cream is sure to please!

    Met with family for a weekend lunch. We were seated in a booth with river view. Service was good and the food the usual high standard. Only negative was it felt a little too cool in the restaurant - especially for elderly father.

    Food is OK. Service is OK. Slightly pricey. Generally a good ambience and cosy interior decor. Best part is the river views, especially if you dine outside. The views are the only reason I dine here occasionally.

    Spent a evening with good friends staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was excellent. Would recommend to anyone.

    The food as ever was good, but the last 2 occasions we have been, the service has been very poor. Perhaps a retention problem so new staff, but has really put me off visiting again soon

    Lovely location on the river. We ate outside. The food was dreadful, tasteless and warm instead of hot. The mini dessert and coffee was very sloppily presented. The staff are mainly very young and inexperienced. Would only ever go again possibly for a drink and look at the river. Generally poor.
