One of the best Sunday roasts I've ever had. Lovely selection of vegetables and all cooked to perfection and also tasty. Some roasts are let down by lack of flavour. Dessert was average. On the whole, very impressed and look forward to trying the rest of the menu

Went for family Sunday lunch, food was very good, roast beef was delicious as were the creamed leeks with the vegetables. All in all very good, fish & chips and burger were also great. Service was friendly and attentive.

Excellent food and beer. New staff a bit slow but still left a tip as really friendly and the Landlady is lovely!

No real problem with the food although my first choice was not available. Service was very slow and both myself and a friend had to go to the bar to get service on two separate occasions Noise does get a bit much from some of the drinkers at the bar. It did seem that more staff were required, as the bar was quite lively. A group, myself and friends, had christmas lunch here, no broblem that I can rember at that time.

I see you visited on a Friday evening, it does get busy and the pub is very lively at times. The Squirrel Penn Street is a beautiful country pub restaurant. The food and staff were wonderful. The menu was amazing and there are good garden area to enjoy with or without kiddies

Very disappointing. Both my partner and I had a roast. I had the chicken and the only thing on the plate that was nice was the Yorkshire pudding. The roast potatoes were clearly the frozen variety and they were literally inedible. I got hardly any chicken and what I did get was really dry. This pub used to do amazing food so I was gutted with this experience especially as dining out with 2 young children is a rare occurrence and it was for my partner's birthday

Sunday lunch with my son. Both had roast dinner. Food and service very good. Nice inside table. A lot busier this week but again had a great experience. Great local pub in stunning location.
