Amazing service and great food. Have to come back for the happy hour deals that sound really good
We are regulars at this neighborhood gem - always great food and great service.
Great food and service.
What a find
They need to fix their ventilation system outside... really bad heat and smell coming from their kitchen... it really ruins the whole experience if you are seated outside... food is good, service is friendly
Great place , ambiance, food and service . My only complaint was the loud music inside ..
Delicious Grove salad, swapped out chicken for lobster. Amazing!
Music was good outside dining was good. Food was ok service was good.
Excellent !great food and service always top notch
this new grove restaurant is underwhelming. the star food item - the lobster Reuben - was unusual and good. the rest was mediocre. the fries limp. the draft choices were limited and odd. no real IPA, no real amber. the service would charitably be described as inattentive. the we had reservations, the person at the desk started to turn us away claiming no reservations. fortunately a more senior person found them - right where they were supposed to be. the menus [ several of them] were greasy from prior dinners. the prices weren't cheap for essentially bar food.
Consistently very good food and service over multiple visits. Fresh seafood
Was looking for a place to eat in Coconut Grove and after reading Open Table reviews chose Spillover. Turned out even better than expected. Lobster Reuben with sweet potato fries was awesome! Also big enough for two. Wait staff was great.
We had a reservation when we arrived, but we waited just a bit in order to be seated outside. I recommend asking for an outdoor table when making a reservation. The courtyard is lovely and there was live music which was very good. Not too loud. While we were waiting, the hostess (Juni) was so thoughtful. Got us drinks from the bar and was so sweet! Once seated, we were really pleased with the service from David. He was attentive without being overbearing. We loved the heirloom tomato salad and the conch fritters. Great flavors and textures. The jambalaya was well cooked but had too much Old Bay for our taste. David was kind enough to take it off our bill. The key lime pie was the best we have ever had! We would definitely go back if we return to the Miami area!
I visited Spillover with my girlfriend and an out of town couple. We were promptly sat at our reservation time. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. I can’t get enough of this place. It’s amazing.
One rib short of paradise...
My family and I found this hidden cove of food down the street in the grove across from the Mayfair. Greeted with an ambiance of old school meets new kids we were in awe of such a "happening" place. Our waitress Connie was a pleasure to be served by and with a few mishaps of cold food and loooooong waiting, the recovery was quick and the apologies seemed genuine. My wife had the fish and chips with 50/50 fries, I had the gator ribs with brussel sprouts, and my daughter had the richman's po'boy. Food and drink were great once properly served and although the night was not smooth from start to finish, we will still go back for a second go for the jambalaya. Hopefully we can upstar the review for the next visit.
We ate outside. I had a lobster Ruben which was terrific with a great sauce and lots of lobster. Local beer on tap, and best of all, live music. A great time.
Great dining, salads are delicious and their cauliflower os excellent! Service has always been good & you can choose to sit inside or outdoors.
ENJOYED VERY MUCH - CREATIVE FUN FOOD WITH A GREAT ENERGY. PLAN TO RETURN - ONLY REASON I GAVE AMBIANCE 4 VERSUS 5 IS THAT IT CAN GET A BIT CROWDED AND NOISY. WOULDN'T LET THAT DETER YOU FROM GOING - REALLY LIKED THE PLACE.
Great food and amazing international cider selection
We were just in town for one night, and I am SO glad we chose The Spillover. The outdoor dining in the evening was a perfect mix of lively but not too loud, with live music that was a good accompaniment rather than being overbearing. Service was impeccable, our server was knowledgeable and friendly and had excellent recommendations. We assorted oysters (which had perfect mignonette sauce and wonderful fresh horseradish), the crab cakes, and the market fish of the day which was tripletail, which was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious, as well as the cheesecake. The mead on draft was also quite good! Great drink list and really fun vibe at this place. Highly recommend and would love to return on another trip. Also, the restaurant is dog friendly, and they even have a dog section of the menu!
Marvellous lunch on the outdoor plaza. Beautiful December weather in Miami
The best! I always recommend my guest here. Love this place !
My husband and I had a terrific meal sitting outside with a nice fall breeze. The cider selection is excellent and the service is flawless.
It’s our second time since June, the service was great , very friendly , attentive, nice, not over doing it. I think it’s a cool spot specially dinning out when it’s not so hot like today. They had live music, very sweet with a guitar guy. I think that made it more special unique, since it wasn’t very loud just music on the background. I will definitely go back 🙃
Please make the fried conch available without grouper
I am a fan of Spillover & brought a friend to experience it. Unfortunately his burger was inedible. The waiter did not know quite what todo but finally asked him to order something else. Later the server apologized but we were not offered a dessert or coffee or anything offthe bill to make up for the poor first entree. Customer service was definitely off that day
Lobster Rubin and fish tacos are fantastic
Our waiter was very helpful in beer recommendations. We tried the Jambalaya and crab cake sandwich. Both were excellent. Loved the bread pudding dessert. Went back another night just for the dessert. I'd definitely eat there again.
Fried fish overdone. Very limited menu. Only wine and beer. Limited investment in decor.
We went on a Friday evening, around 6. Not too crowded, but did fill up by the time we left. We were seated indoors. Spouse had the Burger which was very good, and I had the catch of the day, which was Sheepshead, excellent. Service was very good. The table next to us were raving about the Alligator ribs, have to try them next time.
The G in GM stand for Gem.
Splendid evening out with friends at the Spillover. It never disappoints. Service is always great. The food is fresh, well seasoned and delicious. I can't wait to go back.
The fried oysters had a great tangy sauce & the herb roasted half chicken was delicious. Great service & value for fresh local sourced food.
Went out on date night and had the whole fried fish and gator ribs. Delicious meal and incredible mead/cider selections.
We love this place! We were already big fans of their other restaurants, Lokal and Kush. I was told ahead of time that this restaurant was more of a seafood place, but I found that it also offered some tempting meat dishes. We already have plans to come back.
Amazing food and service food found at the spillover!
Excellent food and service was fantastic.
My new favorite place. The freshness and flavor are what I look for in a meal. The price point is right and great service to match.
One of the few restaurants theats consistently good. Fresh fish and friendly service. We are never disappointed! Just need key lime pie on the menu.
Unique dining experience and service was first class!
