Went for partners birthday, had a lovely meal, food cooked almost perfectly, steak maybe just overcooked. Drinks reasonably priced and nice touch with balloon and happy birthday bunting above the table. Had a lovely time and will go back.

Hi guys. I have sent you this already but you have not replied. I was emailed for a review so…. Just to summarise, I messaged you on Tuesday to ask if you had a table for 4 on Wednesday as it was my little boys 10th birthday and he loves your restaurant. Note that I have always contacted you this way. You didn’t get back to me so I went on your booking site which allowed me to book, I got a confirmation email so all good. I then get a message on here saying you have a private function so you could only sit us at 5… again fine but when I replied asking how long we would have before had to leave I got no reply. We turned up at 5 and got a table. It was very obvious that we were not really supposed to be there. After spending a good 10 mins on the menu and deciding what we wanted, a waitress came over and told us that most of your menu items were off due to the private function. We had no option but to leave as my kids could not order what they wanted. You had 3 opportunities to advise me that your menu would be reduced, that you had a private party and really that you didn’t have time to have us there. We ended up having to fund a last minute booking elsewhere. I want to remind you that this was my little boys 10th birthday. So I think you really should take some time to consider a reply to this. As I say, we all love your restaurant and want to continue to support you but honestly this has really stung

Disgusting way2 run a business!! Booked Monday, confirmed Tuesday,arrived Wednesday travelled 45miles to be told they had table of 40 people so there was NO food for me or my family!!!! Turned away,no apology,no compensation like a free drink or free meal next time,was treated very poorly!!! Why was I not texted before so we didn't travel all that way? After looking at reviews the food looked awful,people's experience was abysmal, I won't be going back,terrible way2 run a business,,,,shocking!!!!!!!

Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Service was quick. Food was delicious and plenty of it. Myself and partner had one of sharing platters and took half a rack of ribs home with us. Highly recommend.

Overall a decent place to eat out and we probably will go back. Think the menu could be reduced which would improve certain elements of the food, but it's still decent.

Lack of veggie options, my meal was cold and look dull. I get it's a smoke house for meat eaters but I'm the only vegetarian in my family and like to be able to enjoy something to eat where they can too.
