We sat outside and it was safe and food was delicious. They also conduct contact tracing for additional safety precautions. Got Johnny Benedict and Avo Toast which were all amazing!
I am gluten free and they only have GF spaghetti which doesn’t go well as a substitute for a lot of their pasta dishes. I ordered the bucatini and specified no mushrooms due to an allergy. It was served with mushrooms in it.
Love this place. Food is good for all occasions. We had ribeye, Mac and cheese, salad, and of course a ton of drinks. Highly reccomend
Love The Smith!
Service was slow tonight.
Bbbbb
Second time here and they did not disappoint. Food and drinks were great. The service was amazing. Our waiter took great care of us. His recommendations were A1. We will continue to support for sure. Portions seemed a little small but once finished we were fulfilled. Noise level is decent; you get a good city vibe from it. Reminded us of NYC.
This was our second time here, the first being Valentines Day. The food was great and we really enjoyed it. I love their chips though ( which was my motivation for coming to be honest)! We’ll definitely be back. I’ll bet it’ll really be nice once the weather is warmer!
Great spot for a casual night out with friends or family! Very friendly and responsive staff. The tables were well distanced and the outdoor seating options were very comfortable.
Delicious food and the brunch special is a really great deal!
Wonderful food and service! Love that one brunch beverage (Bloody Mary, mimosa or Bellini) is included with certain brunch entrees.
Staff were very helpful and the food was delicious.
We arrived in time for happy hour which was delicious. The oysters were fresh and we tried the Moscow mule with their house made ginger beer. Great overall experience.
Quality choice, consistent taste and solid service
Always a good go to for quality dinner
Love The Smith! The Brussel sprouts are my fave. The sides that come with the salmon?! Chileeee, so good! The service is great. I’ve also done a birthday dinner here as well!
Great food, seated on time, waiter was attentive but not overbearing, since it’s covid we did outdoor dining and U street is noisy but that’s to be expected
Great and thanks
We had left a note with our reservation that two people in our party was nondairy and one was vegan, no one told us about any options that fit our diets.
We thought we were ordering something without cheese and it ended up having cheese on it which was disappointing. We would have said something to our server but she disappeared for over an hour. We even had to wave down another server to just get our food order in.
This was my first time attending Brunch at The Smith and the food was great, but the service was lacking extremely.
Food was excellent, service was good, food is a great value but drinks are $$$
Best French toast we have ever had!
Perfect service. Clean, well spaced, delicious food, organized and covid safety friendly. Will definitely be back
Delicious! Everything we ate was amazing. Gnocchi is a MUST. Pork chop was amazing. The bread pudding dessert also a must, ridiculously good.
Always a pleasure. I love this spot. Especially the brunch. All the food is great.
All time fav restaurant
The food was delicious. I ordered the rancheros scramble and my friend ordered the Benedict Johnny. We nearly kicked our plates clean. We also shared the fries with house-made blue cheese fondue. SO GOOD. To drink, we had the French 75 slushees, Bellini, and gatsby. All were made perfectly.
Excellent, safe dining experience! I would return there in a minute!
Great service from my waiter and GM working the day I was there.
Exceptional service and cocktails. Will definitely be returning soon.
Our waitress was horrible. Ignored us most of the time, brought us the wrong wine and ignored us when we tried to tell her it wasn’t the right wine, brought us our check without asking. Will not go back after that.
Good food. Quiet; good for work meetings. Clean. Thank you
This could have been a 5 star review if it was not for the poor service. We were first in for brunch this morning. Waited on our server to clock in and found out 35 min after we ordered that the order was never put in. No apologies. Waited forever for our food, which was excellent. However the service ruined our morning.
I had a steak with egg and my husband had a burger.
Both tasted really great. But their medium rare was closer to rare. But the steak was really good quality.
Loved their brunch cocktails❤️
Good food overall. :)
Amazing food, and lightning and the drinks were awesome.
first time for us food and service impeccable thank you
Great good, outstanding server, I wish they had the brunch menu on President's Day, but the lunch menu while limited still had good options.
Great experience! We enjoyed our Valentines Day dinner. My wife definitely was impressed and can’t wait to go back! 5 stars!
Delicious food; was pleasantly pleased. Good protocols for Covid-19 (requires face masks to be worn at all times minus eating and drinking).
The two eggs Benedict dishes on their brunch menu are to die for. Totally worth the one hour drive.
Food options were great. I went for haply hour. I just had the wings and oysters. I didn't care too much for the wings but loved the oysters. The drinks were delicious. I had a tequila mule and was given a sample of the smoky mezcal mule. I prefer the smoky mezcal mule. Melissa was great!!!
The Smith was a great experience. We attended for the Weekend Brunch. The food was extremely delicious and the cocktails were great. Our servers Oz and Dominique were polite, attentive and went out of their way to make our first time here a absolute pleasure. We will definitely be returning and recommend to anyone looking for a nice, cozy spot in DC.
The Smith has a nice menu with good variety. The interior is welcoming and it was comfortable. Our server was nice but very slow...not sure if it was her or the kitchen, but our dinner for 4 people took just under 3 hours. Most of the time we were sitting at our table with no food and no drinks. The time between ordering anything and receiving anything was ridiculous. The food was mediocre with the macaroni and cheese being bland. The potato chip fondue was a hit. The house wine seemed like a great option and we ordered 1 carafe (not the big carafes) each of two varietals. The carafes themselves were small and priced just under $50. I'm not sure of the exact size, but we would have been better off getting bottles of wine. I recommend The Smith with some hesitation. I have been to the other location a couple of times so maybe this experience was a blip. I'll try it again, but I won't be rushing back.
No, just no. .....................................
