The service was phenomenal. Thanks Dylan and the young women clearing tables. The food was fantastic; from the rib eye to the branzino, to the salmon, to the shrimp tagliatelle pasta to the sticky toffee pudding.

Had a wonderful dinner Sunday night. Relaxed, trendy, indoor-open-to-outdoor ambiance. Friendly service. Excellent drinks and dishes. Best pork chop with slight kick of peppers; will order this again. A little pricey but totally worth it.

It was the perfect spot for having Sunday dinner with a friend after a long time of us not seeing one another. We were actually the last table seated, being so deep in conversation, and the staff were kind and gracious in letting us carry on.

I could get the menu items offered from just about anywhere. I couldn't decide what I wanted to eat - not because my options were so fantastic but because I could order any one of those items in any restaurant in any city. My steak was undercooked (even for rare+), my fries were cold, just totally underwhelming.

Second time at smith with large groups for a business dinner. Service outside late was spotty one time, but another time with 13 people, they had phenomenal service. Food is very good, didn’t disappoint. Need to go back and try their pasta dishes!

It was great eating outdoors on a beautiful night. The menu selection wad excellent and our food exceeded our expectations. Our server and the other support staff were very friendly and courteous. We will return.

So disappointed with our experience. Been a number of times before and enjoyed things a lot better. We were seated next to a large group who lacked manners to say the least. Staff were more attentive to the group than us. Appetizer took forever to arrive and our mains arrived as we were finishing our appetizer. We had the Buratta and quite frankly expected a lot more from an $18 plate than what we got. My filet was very good but not awesome. My wife’s Mediterranean salad was just plain awful. Swimming in dressing to the point it was inedible. It was taken off the bill but should never have left the kitchen as it was. Sorry Smith but I doubt we will ever return. There are too many better restaurants in your area for the same cost

Party of 4 promptly seated inside on a very busy Saturday night (with +20 minute wait for outside.). Food was very good, server got the job done. 4 cocktails & 4 entrees (2 steak, 2 fish) + tip = $335.

The people that check you in and seat you tend to be somewhat obnoxious and unfriendly (at least the guy was), but the waiters are usually friendly and attentive. Gets real noisy inside but the outdoor seating is a saving grace during warmer months. I love the DC location because they tend to be more accepting of different types of folks including black people.

We were able to get an outdoor table which we preferred since the inside had a very loud group and seemed generally noisy. Our table worked out very well. We had Rachel as our server and she was great. Our food was a big surprise, very very good. And our drinks were also great.

The food was delicious. I had the avocado toast with poached eggs and a side of home fries. The avocado was chunky and plentiful; the eggs were perfectly poached with a runny yolk. The toast also came with a light, lemony salad of mixed greens. My husband was happy with his steak and eggs meal as well. It was a nice touch that select entrees come with your choice of brunch cocktail or fresh pressed juice. I would definitely stop by again if we’re in the area.
