Caroline has been running The Sloop for over 2 years, and takes great pride in everything that is served here. Only the freshest, local ingredients are used in the kitchen, with the summer menu featuring local fish products and during the winter months, good old fashioned pub food to warm your heart.

Live music every weekend, with special themed nights during the week. In the bar area there is a Bar Billiards Table, something of quite a novelty in the Poole area.

All of Caroline's staff are trained personally by her, to ensure that every customer visit is to a high standard. The beers are Hall and Woodhouse Badger Ales, and a new extensive wine list is available.

Came here for lunch with some old friends, the service was brilliant.. we were greeted right away and the drinks order took no time at all. The menu was a lot bigger than expected and the food was so delicious. I will definitely be coming back to the sloop!

Very good food, service was slow, however the owner came and apologised, as a large group had ordered minutes before us.

We have eaten at the Sloop a few times. Today the food was good but they no longer offer sweet potato fries as an extra which is a shame. They also used to do pigs in blankets which were delicious but alas no more. The burger meal was great as were the sausages. My seafood platter was OK. The scallops were well cooked but not drained so a lot of wet. They also used very basic white baguettes which let the dish down. I much prefer brown bread with prawns etc. Also the side salad was a little basic. Overall, the meal was enjoyable but those little details were missing.

Friendly service and good food. Good ambience at the pub and often live music on at the weekends. Would certainly recommended this pub to others.

Looked at menu online but when got there menu was slightly different and she told me it hadn't been updated. Specifically went for cheese pie advertised but wasn't actually available, in fact no pies were available. Being a vegetarian my choice was limited but the mushroom burger I had was good

Wonderful Sunday lunch and they had lamb on the menu which is unusual for restaurants, it was delicious.Food always excellent and friendly service.

Met up for a works lunch do. Food was very tasty with lots of choice available. Portion sizes were very good and staff very friendly
