It was disappointing to say the least. The service was slow from both the bar and the kitchen. We had to wait 30-40 mins for drinks, another 30 mins for apps and another 30-40 for dinners. Someone ordered the fish tacos and one of the pieces of fish was MAYBE an inch long. My chicken wrap had minimal chicken in it although it tasted good. I was looking forward to trying The Slip but we won’t be back because although the waitress knew the issues, nothing was done about it.

They were very much understaffed. Drink orders took at least 20 minutes as the bar was down to two people. By 8:00pm on a Saturday, the place was not even half full. Food was good but my expectations were higher based on the price. Additionally, you cannot self park. Although valet parking was free, my daughter waited more than 20 minutes for them to bring her car. Somehow the valet ticket got lost between the waitress and the valet station and she had to show her ID. I think the whole situation is simply overwhelmed.

Food was surprisingly tasty, nice for a casual dinner after a family afternoon event. Nice ambiance, staff was very friendly, but service was So Slow!

The decor, cocktails and server were good. The team in the kitchen needs improvement. We waited almost an hour for our meal to be delivered after ordering. Half of our dishes were made incorrectly. I know the server placed them correctly because she took her time ordering them in front of us. The fact that the kitchen and the QA sent out several dishes incorrect after such a long wait is not fair to the servers. There are so many other places to go nearby. Unfortunately this is not somewhere worth going a second time.

This was probably the worst meal ever that we’ve had at The Slip. We came to The Slip when it opened and the service was amazing and the food was amazing. Tonight. The waitress had clearly not been trained. Specific alcoholic beverages were not available. Tea was not available!?Two of us had dinners that were not what we ordered delivered to us. Food was cold and overcooked. this is clearly a restaurant that is not paying its bills and is struggling and the customer service reflected that. So disappointing. We will not return and I will make sure that others in our circle are informed of the mismanagement of this facility.

We were a group of 6. Greeted very friendly upon our early arrival and 4 of us were seated right away. After about 5 minutes our waitress came over and took our beverage order and said as soon as the bartender came in, she would bring our drinks over. The addition couple arrived and she came over and took their order too. After about 20 minutes one of the owners came over to us and asked if we had ordered beverages yet? We told him yes and he came back with our drinks almost immediately. After another 20 minutes our waitress came back, apologized for the delay and took our appetizer and entree orders. The sushi we ordered took another 15 minutes to arrive. The California roll was very good, our friends enjoyed their appetizers as well. We’ve been there an hour and so far had a beverage and an appetizer. After about 20 minutes our entrees were served. My bolognese, while very good, was almost room temperature. That’s disappointing to say the least. All in all it was a two hour experience for lunch. It seemed as though there was one waitress and an owner waiting/cleaning tables. We had to wave the waitress down to bring our check so we could pay and depart. Some of the most lethargic service we’ve ever experienced. The new decor is great and comfortable, although it does seem like a cute place for an appetizer and drinks, a little awkward to eat a meal. Will I go back? I’ll watch the reviews and see if the service improves. The food is good, it just takes forever (and in my case, showed up cold)

Super accommodating for a large birthday party occupying the corner of the bar area. Stayed on top of everyone’s individual orders. No one in our group was ever empty handed or lacked a bite to eat. Highly recommend The Slip for almost every occasion and I’m looking forward to the summers there!

Great new place. Fun atmosphere. Food and service has been inconsistent. I have been there 5 times now. Bring friends and family and it’s hard when they run out of things. Sometimes you wait for drinks over 10 mins from order. They have dishes where the chefs forget the protein on top. I really want this place to succeed but they need to tighten things up and be more consistent.
