The Sky Room Ratings and Reviews
We went for our Valentine's dinner. Everything was amazing! Our table was right in the corner so we both could enjoy the view. We were able to see the city and beach in the daylight, watched the sunset and then got to see the evening lights. It was quite a spectacular evening.
Amazing experience. We spent our 2 year anniversary here. The food and ambiance was amazing. I was hesitant at first since we live in Irvine and the drive to Long Beach after work is not ideal, however was completely worth it and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great date night.
We just celebrated my husband’s 59th birthday @ The Sky Room!
We had heard great things about this place. It did not disappoint!
This authentic Art Deco space was truly lovely, the food was delicious
& the views of downtown Long Beach and the harbor were spectacular.
If U haven’t been there yet, U should definitely check it out for your
next special night out.
Our appetizers lobster bisque are overly salty and a bit warm, at least to me and my date. My bison short rib is also very salty. Maybe it’s Sunday so the sauce gets concentrated. My date ordered the sea bass but the fish tasted and textured like salmon and when the busboy bring it out to us, he said black cod. When we complain to the witnesses, she took the dish and returned by stating the busboy called that way but the COMPUTER showed it is sea bass and asked us to order something else. My date ordered the duck instead which is ok because the flavor is there but the skin is not crisp. Maybe it supposed to be like that. They comped the wine for my date, which is cool. The dessert is the best. Overall ambient and the service is nice even the place is old school but what’s lacking is the food, if it cannot preform well with dine la due to traffic maybe they should skip the event.
Sat nights band at 8PM - always great! And you can actually talk over the band, and dance on a great dance floor - never crowded. Incredible views. Also check out the rooftop viewing area.
Food usually very good, although I ordered the Sea Bass and it was really fishy / not fresh. Bison Ribs were great.
It was a major disappointment and nothing like the pictures. The decor was outdated, the view on the side we were seated was nothing to take in, and the food was bland and lacked seasoning. Nothing about this place was highend quality except for the check at the end.
My husband and I wanted a date night. First time at the Sky Room. We enjoyed the DineLA prefix menu. Would def be interested in coming back after this first experience. Service was lovely. Food was delicious. Ambiance was great. Live band on the weekends. Can be a bit pricey but treat yourself!!
My friend and I came here for the Dine LA menu, and the placed proved to be excellent on all levels. The service was excellent. the waitstaff we had was very knowledgable of the cuisine, and bar selections. Suggested a couple drinks for us to try and they were spot on for our taste, and delicious. The restaurant itself is excellent, as it sits above the city of Long Beach, and situated so you can see the entire city at night. Would highly recommend for special occasions, as well as romantic & for date nights. I will be boing back on the nights they have live music.
Came here during dineLA. View was great. Service excellent. But the food was just OK. I had the sushi appetizer and the lamb was good but rack was burnt. Homemade chocolate cake just OK. My husband likes the garden veggies. The cod was alright and the napolitian was not impressive. The only thing we like is the truffle fries.
This is like anyplace with a great view of any city or like any port/pier... always GREAT views but horrible food and avg service. Our waiter was Johnny... he almost seemed electric and cartoon like... his speech pattern and voice was weird and answered seemed canned... did matter what our reply was... his was “lovely”. Go for the view but spend your money at the bar... NOT on dinner...
Great family dinner celebrating birthdays for our2 sons
Excellent serve, fabulous food, great wine list/drink options
Great dining options - seafood, rack of lamb
Didn't need it, but they will cater to food allergies
Cielo's bar upstairs rooftop - A hidden treasure in LB open Thursday - Sunday
