The Skunk & Goat Tavern
I reserved a high top table 3 weeks in advance. When we arrived at our reserved time our table was unavailable so we sat at a different table where one person sat on a long bench and the other sat on a chair. We felt very uncomfortable. Our reserved table didnt become available until 45 mins after our reserved time. It felt very crowded and loud in there. The service was rushed and food came out slow. The food was bland and was small portions. I was very disappointed in my dessert, creme brulee, the texture was very unpleasant.
Perfect as always! My wife and I drive 50 minutes to visit S&G because it’s worth the drive. We could of had our Valentine’s Day dinner in town but we chose our go to because it has always been worth the drive. Christina and her staff go above and beyond every single time. Not only is the food off the charts the service is outstanding. Great job by all we’re already looking forward to coming back soon!
Overall a great experience. Definitely coming back! If I have to find any faults, the wine pour was a bit skimpy ... perhaps 4.5 ounces, maybe the last pour in the wine bottle. And they lack a full-bodied Cab on the wine list, as both the Broken Earth “Pull” Cab and the Drumheller Cab are medium-bodied at best. But my wife and I were both very pleased, and look forward to bringing friends/guests for a future visit.
I love the skunk and goat every single time I visit, and I am never disappointed! The service, food and atmosphere is amazing. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a great time.
Very good very good
Went out for Valentines Dinner with my hubby and a close friend. Sat at a high top, which we love, had a great meal. As usual!
Food and service were excellent.
We like the specials and happy hour
Even though this time it was Sunday.
Very high quality ingredients, home made items on menu. Definitely are going to be regular customers.
Great food! Can’t find some of the dishes anywhere in Erie.
Your American Hamburger is out of this world...non-bready bun, lightly seasoned not-heavy meat,
just delicious...the chips in the little basket are great, too...
thanks so much...we love it at your place.
Great place to enjoy food and music! Very attentive staff. Will be going again.
Excellent as always. Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Always great all the way around!
Food was outstanding! Service was a bit slow, but it was quite busy, so understandable. Have us time to relax and enjoy our dinner conversation. Waitress was delightful! A lovely birthday dinner. Highly recommend their creme brûlée - any flavor - superb!
Our first visit. A very nice quiet dinner for four on a Sunday evening. We have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and finally managed to get our group together to do it. Sunday evening was moderately busy, but there were some open tables and they were seating folks as they walked in.
The dining room and bar area are very nice with the brick walls, large ornate bar and back bar. There are also some nice cozy casual nooks with leather couches and chairs. Dining tables are nicely spaced so you don't feel like you need to greet the folks at the table next to yours.
Our server was extremely friendly, helpful and attentive, she made suggestions when we asked for them, and she knew all of the items on the menu well enough of to help us with our choices. Our salads were crisp, cool, fresh and well put together. There are several different types to choose. Our entrees were very well prepared and portioned just right. Plating was a little haphazard
The only push back we had was from the bar. Three of us are pretty easy with staight up or on the rocks selections. One of our group enjoys Long Island Ice Teas. Her drink came out as more of a sour with an abundance of mix and very light on the good stuff and cola. It was quickly remedied by our server putting the evening back on course.
The great service made it an excellent evening out.
Love S&G! Great venue, food and staff!!
We met friends for New Year’s Eve. The app was so convenient to reserve. We loved the atmosphere of the Skunk and Goat and some many neat choices for dinner. Our waitress was great and food will definitely be returning!
Food was great as was the service! the chair though could stand to have alittle cushion
This is one of our go-to restaurants. The food and service is always the best. This is the first time we had Dawn as a server...very responsive and friendly.
Fantastic Sunday brunch! A little loud in front of the live music, but overall delicious and a great time.
Our breakfast was great, the portions plentiful, and the price was a good value. The wait staff attentive. The only thing I would say negatively was that they didn't have a hostess at the front door and we had to wait almost five minutes to be acknowledged. I have been to Skunk and Goat several times but this was our first visit for breakfast. We will return!
Excellent service and I highly recommend the omelette Florentine. Outstanding!
We really enjoyed our dinner. You will love the Manhattans. One of us had the chicken pasta dish. It was great. Someone had the steak and Pom frites. That was delicious. I had the onion soup. It was good, but maybe not the best Ive had. I really loved the steak salad. Excellent.
Our server was quite good, too.
Had a very nice dinner. It was very busy but didn't feel rushed at all.
Food was good. Maybe a bit more gravy on the mashed. Gunslinger was good. Egg needed to be more runny but was still good. Would order it again
Overall very good. Although you could tell they weren't accustomed to that large a crowd, the food was very good but not my kind of food. I will have to try it again when not quite so crowded
Visited recently for a date night. Our server was Corey and she was amazing. Very attentive to our needs/dietary restrictions. The food was incredible. We ordered the candied bacon app and the porkchop for our entree. We will definitely be back again soon!
Brunch with Santa
Always a great time! Service is awesome and the location is great!
We went for the Santa brunch. Over all, good mostly experience. Had to track down a waitress to order after being sat for approx 15 min. Sat next to the band and guitar player kept putting his coffee and food on our table. (Not cool, man). Food was pretty good. May return but not for an event.
Took a long time for a server to appear after we were seated, even though the restaurant was not busy. Nice place but food only okay. Maybe just an “off night.”
We were 20 minutes early and we got in no problems. Appetizer was the buffalo dip and that was amazing.server knew all answers to my questions.
Always a warm and cozy place to sit and eat great food. The service, along with the food, is fantastic.
Nice, quiet but busy restaurant. Our waitress was great. Our food came pretty quick considering how busy they were. It was all great. I will definitely be back again!
We had amazing service and great food! We really got a lot of small plates to share and had an amazing meal. We also had great cocktails and dessert. The environment is great and well decorated. We highly recommend the skunk and goat!
The boar was fantastic, will definitely order again and the fried cheese is the best! Great food, great drinks and great atmosphere!
Our second time there since were on the wine trail again in 2018 and 2019. Just love this place!
It was a busy night as there was cancer event going on. We understand and support that type event. Had we known we would have scheduled my daughter’s birthday dinner for another night. We reserved a table for 7:15 but didn’t get seated until after 7:30. Our first visit would have been better had it been less hectic.
I started with onion soup, then meatloaf, which I enjoyed. My guest had the pork chop, which she found to be “tough”. She mentioned it to our server, who comped our desserts.
There was a fundraiser going on, so lots of activity and loud conversation, plus a country duet, so it was hard to hear conversation.
This is more of a tavern/coffee house, with bar, tables and informal seating areas.
Overall a good experience, and worth the drive out to North East.
