    The service was slow. waiter was on his cell phone for a long time behind the bar so I had to go and get him just to get our bill. besides that the food was great.

    The food here was truly a surprise! Southern-based with a ton of flavor. Absolutely recommend the gumbo with shrimp and a side of the corn bread (comes with 3 muffins, so good for sharing). Delicious and we'll DEFINITELY be back. The servers were also friendly as can be.

    We tried to give the Sixgill another opportunity after a bad experience. Our server did not put in our order until an hour after we ordered, then blamed our late food on the large parties. A white wine glass pour is about half of the size of a red wine pour. The server ended up not charging us for our food, but never apologized for the mistake or took responsibility for it. Very disappointing and we will not be returning.

    Southern food with an attempt to put a northwest spin on it, but a bit too much thyme in both the pivot and the okra - and the fried okra was way overcooked. Wait staff was clearly frustrated with our questions (did they have a Cabernet?) and not conversational or friendly. One waitstaff was collecting plates and said "well maybe don't hand it to me like that" - but we couldn't figure out what was wrong with the way we were handing it to her so we put it down and she was frustrated at that. probably just having a bad day - but I doubt we would go back.

    The crab cake po boy was all cake and almost no crab. Not good! Very disappointing!

    We had a pleasant early dinner last week. The service was great and the server well informed. Food was very good, bordering on excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. Worth a repeat visit.
