Fabulous dinner (steak tips, pasta)....deviled eggs are to die for....exceptional service....great ambiance away from bar, vibrant yet intimate. This was a before the show dinner, for which there is no better place, and Sinclair shows are always wonderful. BTW, Missio was excellent and the opening band, Welshly Arms, is an amazing band that should NOT be missed!!! Thanks Sinclair for always leaving us with great memories.
Decent place. Food was fresh and hot but a bit bland. Service was average. Probably would look elsewhere for brunch next time but still a decent restaurant.
Food and service we just mediocre. My falafel wrap was tasty but had only 3 very small falafels. The side fries were limp and not hot. The waiter never returned to check on our meal satisfaction until we were nearly done. The beer selection lacked an amber ale. Though we had no major complaints, everyone agreed we should’ve gone elsewhere.
First time dining at the Sinclair before Phillip Phillips Show. Great ambiance, good food and very friendly staff. Will definitely be back.
Great Pre Show dinner and drinks with a great staff. Make sure you try the brussel sprouts, they are out of this world.
we arrived 5 minutes before our reservations. they were transitioning to the "nightclub" so the receptionist was not there so we never got seated. we ended up finding two seats at the bar and sat down. The food was great though.
Great food & service! We were here before the Grace Vanderwaal concert.
All the people that were working there that I interacted with were friendly and polite. The food was good, as was my bloody Mary.
We had a delicious dinner at Sinclair. Our server was friendly and attentive. It was a very comfortable environment We will definitely return!
I love the Sinclair. The waiter was kind and attentive, and the noise level and ambiance was perfect for a casual catch-up dinner with an old friend. Oh and the food and extensive drinks list was so so good. There's something on the menu for everybody.
Today was a bad day. I'll consider returning when they are fully staffed. They only had one server on duty for the entire restaurant during brunch. I'm not sure why they thought that was a good idea. She tried her best and had a positive attitude. She also discounted our check significantly since my patty melt was burnt and fries were cold. They were nice and apologetic about it. That was appreciated. My wife's omelette was good and the el scorcho tea was good. Maybe it'll be better in the summer.
The food and service was good for pre-theater. There was a late show, so the restaurant was almost empty when we were there. However, the whole experience was ruined by my having left a special scarf on my chair or on the floor. The restaurant was not busy when we left Normally, this would be found by the wait staff when they clean the table and given to the management. After the theater we returned expecting that it would be there. It was not. It had been taken. I am not accusing anyone, but I doubt the table was filled after we left. Very, very disappointing. I know I left the scarf - those things happen. It is the failure to promptly retrieve and store it that bothers me - made it vulnerable to theft.
Sorely understaffed. Quick pre-concert meal took close to two hours. Impossibly long wait to order and receive additional drinks. Water glasses never refilled. Saw my food sitting in the open kitchen for nearly 10 minutes, so of course it arrived lukewarm.
We got to the restaurant right at 11:00 when it opened for brunch. The restaurant has a nice vibe and the waitstaff was very pleasant and attentive. Among the four of us we had the burger patty, the breakfast plate (scrambled eggs with English muffin, bacon and home fries), the western omelet, and the bagel with lox, bacon and chive cream cheese. The burger patty was very good and the other three brunch entrees were just average. I would come back to The Sinclair for drinks and music but wouldn't necessarily come back for the food.
We loved this experience...and it is such a great option before seeing the music. Great staff! Great meal.
Wait staff was a bit slow (may have been understaffed) but apologetic and very friendly. Food is consistently good. Attached to the Sinclair venue it's a no-brainer for a pre-gig meal. Great atmosphere and cocktails.
We arrived early before a show so had prompt seating. We enjoyed the brussel sprouts, mussels, ravioli, and roasted chicken but had to wait for a glass of wine until after the brussel sprouts were delivered and half eaten. Note that the menu on Open Table did not reflect the menu that night.
This was our first time at the restaurant and Our experience was SUPERB!!!The waiter was very kind and on top of everything!!!
The most amazing was when the cook took time from the kitchen to come and talk to us!!!!
The food was EXTRAORDINARY!!! Especially the roasted chicken dish, which we heard is one of the favorite and they cannot take it from the menu :)
It’s a classic!
Overall, we are definitely coming back and bringing family and friends with us!!!
Great spot in Harvard Square!
Food was definitely delicious. Server put us near the bus station right next to the speaker. This was fine until the volume sparked up to the point that neither of us could hear each other at the table. Service was fine. Food was slightly pricey, but understandable for the gourmet food we were getting. Would recommend for a special occasion dinner out (and would definitely recommend taking a bit more control over where you get seated).
Amazing burger and cocktails before the show on Saturday night. Keep up the great work.
The food was overpriced and small portions. They also have a very limited menu. The drinks were way overpriced. Even more than the local average price. Limited beer selection. Will not be eating there again.
I normally really like the bar/restaurant, but the service just was not good last time. Server kept taking the drink orders for just a few people and then would walk away, ignoring the rest of the table and not returning for 15-20 minutes. Wasn’t particularly friendly or attentive otherwise. Also did not tell me that the bill included an automatic 20% gratuity, so I tipped on top of it and later had to call the restaurant to get it adjusted.
Brunch was excellent. We both tried the different Benedict’s and were impressed by the breakfast potatoes.
A friend and I decided just to order a bunch of starters. A great decision. The brussel sprouts were perfect, the veg chili hearty and satisfying, and the Mac and Cheese hit-the-spot amazing. Wait staff was great. Shout out to Samuel who was super helpful to these first timers.
Great food and beer in acomfortable setting with a fantastic music venue. I would highly recommend the Sinclair to all.
Excellent service, great food, best live music room in Boston! Treated us like royalty for our anniversary. Can't rave enough.
Brussel sprouts (and food in general) were outta this world!
Always great for brunch! We go there every time we’re in town. The food is very good and the service is very good as well. Everyone is always pleasant.
The food was very good. The waitstaff left a lot to be desired. We waited s long time to give our order and then waited again for our food. Our glasses of water were left empty and I attended for most of the night. They didn't have cappuccino so we ordered American coffee - and told us they didn't have any sugar! It took over 20 minutes from the time we gave our credit card to pay the bill until it was finally returned to us. Until I asked if there was a problem. No one said their was a problem with their credit card machine. Not worth the trouble - a lot of restaurants have good food.
They did not seem to have adequate waitering staff...so everything took longer than was ok. And the food was not cooked to order. Not worth the $ though apparently hip.
Good spot. We had a nice time
We had tickets to evening show so made reservations for an early dinner. We lucked out and got parking right on Church street - otherwise it could be a problem. Food was quite good. I was craving a burger and this one was delicious. Fries were very tasty. We had Brussels sprouts to start and they were also very tasty. All around it was a good meal.
The food was absolutely fantastic. We ordered 4 small plates, tapas style, and shared an entree. Most notably, the Brussels sprouts, and pork chop were out of this world. Full of flavor and cooked to perfection!
Friendly wait staff and creative food options. Nice outdoor eating venue.
I enjoyed the place and service. I got the home made pasta with duck, pasta was great while the duck was salty
while there are WAY too many elevated options within 1/4 mile, those who want the easy lift off app and beer before their live music fix will find the Sinclair kitchen a welcoming experience. bonus pts. for our waitress who helped us with an extra beer ...in a cup to take into the music venue side.
We came to The Sinclair specifically because the band Spafford was performing there.
We came in early to try out the dining experience at The Sinclair and we were very pleased with the ease of reserving seating and the efficiency in seating us upon arrival.
The food was delicious, the wait staff was very professional and accommodating. We will definitely recommend The Sinclair as full evening of dining and entertainment experience. The band Spafford was amazing.
Spafford brought us there for our first Sinclair experience and now we will definitely be recommending The Sinclair to our network of friends and family.
We had a very delicious meal. The halibut was particularly good.
We had fish tacos, sweet corn and the falafel pita. They were all delicious. The fish tacos were a bit spicy but I wanted more. I felt the tacos were a bit overpriced for a small plate, but would order again because they were yummy.
