To call a big sour, cold cauliflower, entree doesn’t make sense.
Never disappoints - great food and great service - win/win!
Delicious! Amazing service.
After seeing some of the reviews I was skeptical about this place. We had reservations prior to a show for 4 people. The staff was very friendly. We were seated immediately. Waitress was very nice and answered all our questions. She continued to check in with us and offered to bring drinks and fill our water. The food was great! Vegan nachos were super! We loved the open atmosphere. It was a very positive experience and we would definitely return. My only “complaint” was there is not any food options for kids/picky eaters. Like a pasta dish, etc. other then that it was a thumbs up!!
Great food & beer! We went here before seeing a concert @ the Sinclair on a Saturday night. We made reservations & sat upstairs. Service was awesome. Only complaint is that the menu is limited for those who are not as adventurous with food... burgers were perfect though!
pre- ART theater dinner.
Vegetarian small platers -- ravioli and Cauliflower dishes-- not the best--
Ravioli too much cream and cauliflower too spicy
Mushroom toast was outstanding, but brussel sprouts were just ok and the calamari was over breaded and overcooked. Our server was very nice. If you like the louder pub type scene with ashabby, industrial feel then you would like the atmosphere.
A friend told me this place had the best burger in Boston, and I dare say he wasn’t lying. The bone marrow burger and fries it is one of the most delectable pub style meals I’ve ever had, And the vegetarian appetizers on offer Are amazing. The beet tartare wither house made veggie chips was great and the brussels sprouts are so good they rival your entrée. Service was top-notch, friendly and super attentive. Atmosphere lively with great music playing in the background. The best part is you’re just a stairway away From one of the best clubs in the city.
Good place for dinner and a show
Three people, three people and three horrible meals!
Very unsanitary practices in your kitchen. people are not wearing gloves and are handling the food with their bare hands. The guy grilling stuff has licked his fingers 6 times that I have counted and uses his bare hands to then turn food over in a pan, to lift and check on stuff. This is just downright disgusting. Touches his hair and face then touches food with same hands as well. No beard guard. Several long haired people in kitchen without hair nets or hats. Guy taking french fries out of plastic bin with bare hands to throw in fryer...lid drops on floor. Picks it up and puts back on container of uncooked fries. I asked for medium well hamburger. It is black on the outside. Fries were pretty limp and lame. Mediocre tasting food coupled with watching so many people touching the food without gloves and hands that have been licked and touched body parts made for a very unpleasant experience which I will never repeat. The server was very good. We loved the Rebirth Brass Band and the concert venue was great but, we will eat elsewheres before the show in the future.
This was our second girls brunch out with DIY mimosas. Very fun! Service was great and attentive. We sat in the bar, fun atmosphere. Recommend.
Stopped in before a show at the ART. Good service, food and drinks. Met our expectations.
The Sinclair is a Music Venue - Club that also has an attached restaurant. We were attending a concert there and decided to have dinner beforehand. I had the "Korean Fried Chicken" Sandwich and my daughter had the "Delightfully Messy Bone Marrow Burger" and started it all off with an appetizer "House Smoked Trout Dip".
Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich: The chicken was okay flavored, however, the breading had no "fried chicken" crunch to it. Also, my first bite was into a rubbery piece of fat.
The Bone Marrow burger lived up to it's title of being Delightful and Messy and was cooked to the done-ness as requested.
The Appetizer was very good, as well.
Ambiance and service was fine.
Exceptional selection of tasty dishes, thoughtfully prepared and presented. Recommend miso pork, sweet corn ravioli, mushroom toast, spiced roasted carrots. Interesting bar snacks also, including fresh fried pork rinds and habanero deviled egg. We shared the food tapas style and it was a blast. Finished the meal with a wonderful bread pudding.
Went for the first time and loved it! Had tickets for a concert and was excited to see they had their own restaurant. Sat at the bar, bartender and other patrons were all very friendly...was a fun time...plan on returning!!
Excellent burger and wings. Great choice of IPA’s too. Would recommend.
fun scene, good food, friendly service, outdoor dining!
My husband and I had dinner shortly after The Sinclair opened and had a great experience. I saw a lot of reviews saying that the service had gone downhill, and unfortunately, that was our experience when we went back this weekend. The bar left my drink sitting at the end of the bar because they didn't know where it was going. When we were seated, the waitress took 40 minutes to take our order. We kept trying to catch her attention but she was occupied by clearing off and re-setting other tables. The dinner was delicious, but then paying the check took another half hour. The restaurant was not that busy, so it seemed very strange that they were having such a difficult time keeping up with service. With so many good options in Harvard Square, I wouldn't bother going back to the Sinclair.
We were in town for the weekend and were disappointed in our dining experience, especially with all of the numerous choices in this great part of town. Some of the food was good, unfortunately the service was too slow, we were served well after the table who came in 30 minutes after us. Some of the staff was good, but overall poor.
The Sinclair is a good go to for Harvard square but the food is just ok.
Great place for a bite and drink before a show. Would go back.
We went for brunch and sat on the balcony. The brunch was delicious, the waitress was energetic and had great service, and it was a bit cool out but they had the heat lamps on!!
The hostess was just awful. She made us feel really uncomfortable and it really clouded our experience.
Had high hopes for The Sinclair given reviews, but found experience lackluster. Service was slow, was not offered a wine list upon arrival, food was average (fish tacos had very little fish and no sauce or flavor to speak of; miso pork was good but sides of peaches and squid ink gnocchi didn't mix well). Maybe it was an off day.
Rooftop lovely but there was a mouse walking around
The sinclair used to be one of our favorite spots to hit. The music venue was our go to for a solid burger. The quality of the food seems to be going down, however and every time we've gone recently we've been more and more disappointed.
There was a mouse running under a nearby table! This took away from our experience
Everything would’ve been great, other than it was so cold inside that the food was instantly cold.
Service was the best. Food was good....but the front deck with Jason's time, patience, and service made the whole night worth the price!
We had a great experience! Solid food and attentive service.
food was a bit salty for my taste but very creative menu and a nice experience overall. i will return and recommend!
The food was great, service was good and one of the best dirty vodka martinis I’ve ever had! But there does seem to be a bit of a mouse problem, we saw at least one during our dinner.
Best brunch ever!!
The food at the Sinclair was good, but a little overpriced. Our only concern was I did notice a mouse run out from underneath one of the booths, so that was a bit disconcerning.
Brunch was mediocre. Hollandaise was a jelly-like consistency and there was about 5x too much on top of my poor English muffin. They also got our vegan friend’s order wrong twice (first brought him a Bloody Mary with anchovies and then tacos with eggs on top). The waiter then said he would comp his breakfast but then it showed up on the receipt anyway... However, the waiter was very nice and apologetic and everything worked out in the end. Food aside, the deck is a beautiful place to enjoy brunch. Probably would come back for drinks only.
Great vibe, wonderful service, food was very good... especially the lobster lollipops, best lobster I've ever had. I would have given this restaurant 5 stars if it weren't for the noise level. SO LOUD!!! We had to yell to hear each other, and about halfway through the meal we all just stopped talking because it was kind of pointless. There's nothing to absorb the sound.
I wanted to like it! Sat for quite some time without attention at the table. Flavorless fish tacos, overcooked calamari, and lame bread they call “pretzels” with flavorless cheese dipping sauce. The cocktails were good though!
Nice space but the service was lackluster. The meats were well executed but the veggie burger was amorphous and required reshaping with each bite to keep it on the bun. Great cocktails. I’ve had plenty of after work drinks and small plates (all great) here but the full dinner experience was disappointing.
Overall good experience
Food was good
Service was goo
