The Silo Cookhouse offers a culinary farm to table journey set amidst the tranquility of the Farm’s eclectic dining room and the splendor of sweeping sunset views of Mt. Pisgah. We offer an a la carte menu, communal seating dinner service Wednesday-Saturday evenings. Guests are encouraged to arrive early, at 5:00 when our bar opens up! Please make your reservation time at the time you would like to be seated for dinner.

While the food was outstanding and creatively done, the small plates/appetizers meant for sharing are quite small and yet pricey. Dinner portions were also small and expensive, so feel only a fair value. It’s a wonderful and different dining experience, great ambience, with a lovely expanded bar. Just go knowing you may not want to share your appetizer after all!

A wonderful “farm to table” restaurant located on the beautiful Horse Shoe Farm. Farm animals, a fire pit for roasting marshmallows, and a building full of games including ping pong, air hockey, Jinga blocks and so much more. This is so much more than just a charming restaurant which has very creative and delicious food!!

Always such a memorable experience. Beautiful setting with amazing food. Love the new bar too. Best espresso martini ever! So lovely. The food is so creative and perfectly presented. We had the pork belly is the best we've ever had. The steak was amazing as well as the crab tagliatelle. The staff Is so welcoming we will be back again and again. So special.

Horseshoe Farm is truly a special places. Everything about it is just done perfectly, with attention to detail in everything they do. Our first visit. It was a rainy and chilly night, but the fireplace and the charming atmosphere warmed us up! Food, beverages and service were excellent. We were there to celebrate my birthday and the communal dining made it feel like a birthday party. We’ll return in better weather.

We were not used to sitting family style, but we "get it". I would probably bring a larger group next time (we were a party of 4) so that we could fill one end of the table and just hear our conversations instead of listen to other groups noise level.

From the entryway to the service, the time was lovely. We drove around the facility before going to dinner. The time we waited with Tina at the bar was fun, and we were taken to our table on time. Service was efficient and courteous and well done. Food was exceptional. Fully enjoyed our "table partners".

The food is outstanding and the menu changes frequently. Service is very good to excellent. Drinks are well-done and creative. Tina the bartender is a realm asset. The seating at the long tables which encourages you yo talk with your neighbors is fun, but can make the room quite noisy at times. If, perhaps, the table weren’t quite as wide, people wouldn’t have to talk as loud to be heard and the over-all noise would be reduced. Usually it is quite tolerable, but when large groups are present, it can get very noisy.

Although while the restaurant was moderately crowded, the staff tried to separate the parties at the long tables, by the end of the evening, we were elbow to elbow with people we didn't know and who were in a different part of their meal. The outside firepit, complete with marshmallows and sticks was a nice nightcap for the evening.

A very special place to have brunch. It offered a nice selection of options, the biscuits and jams where yummy that were offered as you perused the menu, the next offering was fresh fruit, yogurt and granola followed by my personal choice of French toast with Nutella. The staff were attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was most welcoming.

Obviously a limited menu because it is based on ingredients available. The night we went, there was no chicken selection, so at least one in our party of four was disappointed with options. Best to check ahead to see what they are serving. If you decide to share appetizers, the amount given is suitable for two people at most. The staff are very nice and attentive. The grounds are lovely. We had a great visit!

The fall menu was delicious. My mother said the duck was the best she had ever eaten. It was more than I expected from a farm to table experience. The chefs and staff are true masters at their crafts. The pavlova is a must!

The setting of Silo Cookhouse is in the middle of a lovely farm. The drive in is through fenced pastures and the restaurant building is surrounding by large hardwood trees. There is a firepit right outside the main dining room and folks were sitting there having a drink as we pulled up. The host took us to our seats at one of two large family style dining tables. That was a little odd as we were wanting a quiet place together, but we got over that quickly. We had brussels sprouts, gnochi, short rib bao, salad, pork belly, hamachi crudo and a couple of the house cocktails. Everything was fresh, homemade and delicious. The pork belly might be considered a bit salty to some, but I loved it. For dessert my wife and I split the brown sugar pavlova. It was delicate and tasty. The food here is obviously cooked with care. The atmosphere is inviting and the restaurant is spotlessly clean. The setting of the farm adds to the warmth. We took our drinks outside after our meal and sat by the fire for a bit. A nice end to a great experience.

Lovely, welcoming atmosphere and committed staff. Our meal from appetizers to dessert was a work of art. Delicious, as well. Favorite appetizer - the house made burrata served on fresh greens with apples and beets. And don’t forget the heavenly warm bread and house made butter. The trout made me hum an autumn tune. Delightfully moist. Beautifully plated. Our waitress was attentive and cheerful. The community table is a fun concept that felt very comfortable. We will return and encourage others to try. Beautiful farm and view, staff were friendly. A little awkward at first, walked in no one around, had to tell them we were there for brunch, told to wait while they cleared a table.

Some of the best food ever eaten. Chef Dan is a talented and extremely personable chef. Highly recommend the duck and the fish. The kale may have been one if the most exquisite things I have eaten in 10yrs...that fabulous 👌 make a point to eat here and stay for that matter
